Call Tenn Paper Night Editor NOW - Demand CORRECTION!

Matt...I never thought you were nuts before, but, if a newspaper reports the candidates for president and misses one, well, I think that could be a definite error in submission if not corrected immediately..but if MANY papers do it, ALL over the country, then it looks more like a PLOT. I am calling the FCC again on Monday. This is action that is REALLY hurting the campaign and would not be hard to prove. Half the people in the damned country don't even KNOW RP is running and the other 35% think he dropped out! I bet a good lawyer could get enough money from a lawsuit that would fund RP candidates for years..

hell, we might as well take that approach. what's happening now is we're just being manhandled.

Yeah..and all the newspaper employees will be in tomorrow. Guess they need to know just how many supporters RP has in TN.

I left John Gibson an earful. on his voicemail... told him that this was deplorable , willful, and abusive. I also reminded him about the millions who have lost their lives in defense of our liberties here in America.I also requested a correction immediately, and told him that the "media' had betrayed my trust, and no longer held any credibility .

I also emailed Marc Silverman at the Tennessean for the same reason earlier today. We need to hold their feet to the fire. They are a collective disgrace.

"Silverman" That's the only clue you need to figure out what's going on. It's a nationwide control of our media.

RP will also need as many precinct captains in Tennessee as possible. Perhaps this could be included in the fliers.

Silverman:
You blacklisted Congressman Dr. Ron Paul TWICE in the same election cycle!!! (see http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=23474&highlight=newspaper )

Are you going to claim internal incompetence like last time, or was this an outright biased attempt at swaying the results of the election?

Your daily publication is pathetic and I wouldn't use it for toilet paper even if it came down to a choice of that or tree bark!

They have 819 members apparently and although they may know about this by now,
I am the one waging war against these clowns here in Nashville and TRUST ME the local meetup is very well aware. If the paper has received any less than a few hundred e-mails and phone calls by now I'll be surprised.

I've thought about it. It wouldn't accomplish much IMO.

First off, what grounds can we sue them on? It's a private paper, they can print and say what they want as long as they are not libelous. I dont think a case could be made that this specific omission was libelous (although I could be wrong).

You could claim that the other headline about not endorsing anyone is false because they selected 5 candidates to promote (it does not matter how they selected the 5).

Called the Tennessean at 615-242-7253 and left a polite but displeased VM with Mr. Gibson.

I called the receptionist again and asked to speak to the news room. I got about three words out and the lady at the newsroom asked "Is this is about Ron Paul?" I said, "No about print media objectivity and Dr. Ron Paul." She proceeded to transfer me to the National Editor she named Ryan Underwood. Hit it.

Everyone is getting the same thing from him.
From Mark Silverman, editor in Chief of the Tennessean:
[email protected]:
"I apologize for the omission.

The candidates' position grid we published was provided by one of our wire services. It omitted Dr. Paul. We should have caught the omission but we did not. There's no excuse on our part -- but that's what happened."
Here is my e-mail back to him:

Understandable but still inexcusable.

What are you going to do to make it right?

The Southern States are very much opposed to Ron Paul many think he is not pro-life or traditional marriage friendly. Sorry these issues are very important here.

The problem is that people don't understand the difference between Federal vs. State. That at the State level the PEOPLE actually get to vote their conscience and not have bought and paid for representatives and judges do it for them.

I saw this on the AFA candidate comparison link. Totally misreprested Ron Paul and unfortuanately people juat look at a chart and choose from that. Focus on the Family's Citizen-Link has also misrepresented him.

Nobody does their homework. Few understand how the system of government works.

Please don't turn this into a Christian-bashing thread. I'm just telling you the environment in the South.
