Cain: So I Was Wrong About The Major Economic Crises. What Of It?

Let's see? The people who were right about it knew because they understood something you don't?

I hope RevPAC has seen this. They did a great job on the Plastic Man ad, and the "Chinese troops in Texas" ad was great despite the naysayers. They need to take this gaff along with some of Cain's other foibles, mix them in with Ron Paul and Peter Schiff accurately portraying what would happen in the economy.

Now how to boil this all down to 30 seconds? Theme? Why elect someone who didn't see the collapse coming but now plans to surround himself with people who supposedly could have when you could just elect somehow who actually did see the collapse coming, sees the next one also, and has a real plan to prevent it?

Not to defend Cain, but there were some misunderstandings (and spin) in that interview.

When Cain said he was listening to the media about the economy, I guarantee that he was listening to Larry Kudlow. That was back in the days when Kudlow spent every single day disputing that there was any problems or bubbles at all in the economy. It was the "Goldilocks economy", and we had "King Dollar" and Alan Greenspan was "the Maestro". He would have Peter Schiff on his show, and he and his cohorts would make fun of him.

The media was almost unanimously in denial about any problems, which makes Chuck Todd's assertion that the media was "right" completely wrong. Ron Paul and Peter Schiff were complete outsiders, and if they were mentioned by the media, it was to ridicule their positions.

QFT! We've come a long way.

Wow!! I did that in like 3 mins last night. wish i could've got rid of the watermark, but oh well. :)

so i was wrong about the "economy" BFD, its not like im runn'n for...WAIT

dunno why he makes such a big deal about he ADMITS it. I mean, the proof is there, he could not lie about it..so he thinks by saying he knows he was wrong is any big deal? If he did not know it he would be an idiot. In fact, there are a whole LOT of things Cain does not know, and he hopes his elite buddies are going to tell him exactly what to do. JERK!

My "speculation" about Herman Cain's economic advisers has been confirmed. Cain has revealed that Stephen Moore and Art Laffer helped to develop the 9-9-9 plan. They are peas-in-a-pod buddies with Larry Kudlow, and regulars on his show (and they were regularly opposing Peter Schiff and Ron Paul).

Epic fail. Ron MUST bring this up in the next debate.

Maybe. I would MUCH rather see this in a TV ad with Joe Scarbrough telling everyone on his show how Ron Paul predicted everything and then have a Ron Paul sound bite actually predicting it. Cain would then be revealed as the fraud that he is and Ron Paul the genius that he is. In the meantime we need to make this go viral
