Cain: So I Was Wrong About The Major Economic Crises. What Of It?

Cain is a liar (again).

His defense, to why he didn't see the economic collapse coming:

When I wrote those papers I was only responding to reports that I like everybody else was getting through the media - those kind of public reports.

Here's a quote from one of "those papers":

As a reminder, we still have not had a recession since 2001, using the standard definition of a recession as two consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth. But don't tell the Democrats and the mainstream media. You might disrupt their imaginary recession.

(source)

Great catch. This deserves its own thread. Yet another lie we caught him in that we can spread around, this time letting people know he was clueless about the economy's imminent collapse.

Should have Chainspell combine all these great videos and blurbs we have accumulated and make a video montage. They seem to be piling up the past few days.

Thank you.. I gleaned another good quote from there "At a minimum, the Cain plan is a distributional monstrosity. The poor would pay more while the rich would have their taxes cut, with no guarantee that economic growth will increase and good reason to believe that the budget deficit will increase."

"distributional monstrosity"... yep that just about sums it up.

Herman Cain 2012
"I Have People"
Paradox to what we have now in office... a president that doesn't know jack shit and just parrots what his handlers and speech writers tell him. The money masters pick the council of economic swindlers to showboat the WH.

All those years Herman Cain was at the Kansas City Federal Reserve, in corporate business, and that's the reply he gives Chuck Todd? That's something I may expect out of an 9th grader in an economics class when they don't know much.

This guy Cain is truly a Bullshit artist.

hehe im honored. I can or someone else can put clips together (just simple without any effects), if you find the clips needed and note the time and for how long you want the clip to play. and then either write me or post on the forums.

like the format:

use music: http:\\youtube.com\link
scene 1
clip: http:\\youtube.com\link
use: 0:45-0:48
clip: http:\\youtube.com\link
use: 8:01-8:09
notes: fade to black
notes: start text on 1:05 of music track
text: "the Only One We Can Trust"
effect: zoom in slowly

if you have it laid out like that I can do that whole project with about 20 clips in 10 minutes. It's just really hard digging and finding the clips to use.

a simpler format is just clips:
clip: http:\\youtube.com\link use: 0:45-0:48
clip: http:\\youtube.com\link use: 8:01-8:09

then you can add your own music or whatever :) birdlady can also do editing if you guys need it (among others here, captainamerica, coffee..something) seriously we should have a list of people that can do edits hehehe!

The first half is great (of the original op vid)!AND the interviewer points out his 'misunderstanding' of the criticism against him and he STILL tries to weasel his way out. What an ass that man is.

This can/can't be used in an ad because of copyright? The first 50 seconds of the OP's video is great. Then maybe 10 seconds of Scarborough saying 'how did YOU know, congressman paul,,in 2002,that there was a housing bubble' and brzinski saying 'oh my gosh' over a picture of Ron at the end.

It needs to be attributed to the copyright holder (the corporation's watermark is generally acceptable), but Fair Use laws generally allow as much content as is necessary to illustrate a point. This can get much more technical, but that's the general rule -- never use more content than necessary to make a comment on or illustrate a point.

If used in an official ad, you definitely want the copyright holder's (or holders') permission prior to airing it.

nice. I was just about to ask someone to make that video, comparing those 2 clips of Herman Cain and Ron Paul. It might be better though to include the whole clip of Cain being read his quote that is in the longer video on the MSNBC site (@4:45)
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3096434/#44873565
It won't let me download the complete video off their site, maybe someone else can grab it.

People like your fancy videos though. I can't do those with imovie. :)

nah I don't really believe it makes a big difference if there are effects or not, just look at the popular videos on youtube lol some of them are just clips of people doing stupid things. So the content is more important, and what I would call it "the delivery", how you convey ur message and attract attention. :)

I spliced this together quick!

nice job! +rep all over :)

wait a minute, wait a minute....OK, I'm on the outside looking in, so I miss out on all the trends, and not following the minute by minute parts of the campaign, so I don't know anything about Cain.

BUT are you telling me, this CAIN guy WORKED in the federal reserve at some capacity, completely missed the housing bubble and 2008 meltdown, and his REASONING is all he had to work with is what the MEDIA told him?

You mean, a guy who works at a place where money, interest rates, and the economy is all they talk about and deal with, but HE CLAIMS all he had to work with was what the MEDIA told him? So therefore how could he predict what was happening?

So sitting at the federal reserve he had to use the MEDIA to figure out what was happening....AND THEN, on top of it....HE DISAGREED with the media, so he couldn't even get that right. But he had no detailed information at his disposal to possibly predict it.

And to solve this issue of him sitting in the federal reserve and not knowing WTF is going on, is to have people who can do ANALYSIS? First of all because he's admitted he can't do the analysis, and secondly is he saying those people apparently DONT WORK IN THE FEDERAL RESERVE???? Because obviously if they did, he would have referred to them WHILE HE WAS THERE!!!!!

It's like he's showing how fucking clueless he is, and how fucking clueless the FED is at the same time.
