CA-Crowd of 40 teens beat the shit out of three Marines at park.

I should point out that the girl’s “punch” had no effect at all, except to escalate the situation and bait him into foolishly entering the crowd.

Okay. That prompted to look this up on YT.

Thoughts:

1) Other people had called the sheriff about the firecrackers and the sheriff's office didn't do anything. There is a San Clemente ordinance against fireworks within city limits.

2) The person who first hit the marine (can't tell if male or female from video), ran away. As Anti Federalist has pointed out, once you have to chase your attacker down you can no longer claim self defense. Ironically the thugs who beat up the marines might have a self defense claim. They can say they were defending the dude/dudette who ran away.

As for everyone saying "Why couldn't 3 marines take on 40 teenagers?"

Ummm.....watch this please.

The dude in the purple shirt was dominating the fight until two other smaller dudes jumped in and sucker punched him.

San Clemente?? Not exactly South Central..

Bunch of fuckin rich kids in a golf cart community..

Edit: Being a holiday weekend, it is likely some of these kids were not locals.

That’s peak tourist area in San Clemente. Highly doubt they were local kids

The last year I was in was at Whdbey Island in the Puget Sound, a Navy base. I was short and looking to get the hell out. The other Marines were gungho jackasses. I wanted nothing to do with them. My best friends were sailors at Whidbey. Although I am a bit pissed off at them. Over the Memorial Day Week end, one of them said he was going to send me some crayons to eat. I'm pissed off. He never sent me the damn crayons.

Maybe they should have had some sailors with them that day
