And Barak Obama has bad approval ratings. Good campaigns make smart decisions. They aren't going to purposely have the candidate agree to something that will come back and hurt them later.

Bias isn't really a big deal. How can you change #8? It's not that biased and it's pretty straightforward. And there's no point in hiding from CFL's positions anyway.
 
Perhaps the pro-life surveys should pretend to be pro-choice in some of their questions so they don't look so biased...

The point is, what's the point of this survey? To get candidates on record for our positions, watch them get elected, and then say "Ha! You flip-flopped!" only to have no one in the media care?

Shouldn't the point be to accurately portray their positions, so that members of C4L can read the results and say "Hmm, I think this candidate is/isn't worthy of my support?" :confused:

No, but I seriously think it's easy to tell what C4L wants the candidate to answer.

Let me think about this. If I'm a candidate, and I can easily figure out that all of the desired answers to a given survey are "Yes," am I going to answer the question truthfully, likely costing me the support of some of the members of that organization? Or am I going to answer them with "Yes," potentially gaining supporters, and knowing that any potential "flip-flop" would likely NEVER come back to haunt me, since the organization in question has no media clout?

That's the thing -- C4L doesn't have any weight to throw around to pull some kind of strategy where they "discredit" a candidate or politician. They should get the candidates on record with the truth by designing a survey that is (A) anonymous, (B) unbiased, and (C) unpredictable, in order to portray an accurate representation of that candidate to its members. Otherwise, we're left with a survey where the candidates I've noted, as well as potentially Linda McMahon, can score 100%.

I edited my post, you might want to check it out. The survey should be anonymously sent and labeled.
 
Maybe they should send out two surveys. Then we can see if the candidate contradicts him or her self. But this is turning out to be a big process...
 
So is this a thread about the survey itself or about the fact that Schiff continues to run away from anything to do with Dr. Paul? Even as far as to not fill out this simple survey?

Complete bullshit. It's is the Pauls' that are ignoring Schiff. Schiff has talked about both Paul's multiple times on the campaign trail. Not a word from either Paul about Peter Schiff.

Really? because everytime the topic comes up here, people here claim the paul's endorsing him or talking about him would only hurt him. So which is it?

Well I didn't say anything about endorsing. I don't care what Rand Paul does. It's more on Ron, if he would promote Schiff's moneybombs more they would be much better. I'm sure Peter wants Ron to promote his moneybombs.

It's been a myth on these boards that Schiff is running away from the Pauls. Like I said Peter has mentioned both on the trail multiple times. He talked about how great is was Ron Paul won CPAC. He said, we need like people like Rand Paul in the Senate. He said he would have an ally in Rand and it would be 2 against 98. He gave Rand $2400, same with Ron on his 2008 race.

Not sure, maybe because Ron barely promotes Peter's moneybombs? I don't know. Peter was Ron's BIGGEST supporter on television in the 2008 election.

If these are REALLY Linda's positions... then GREAT!

Elections aren't about personalities for me.

Based on the debate, however, it's clear that Schiff *understands* libertarian philosophy. Linda didn't offer me much.
