C-SPAN reports... NANCY REAGAN to Endorse John McCain this afternoon

Hmm, that went well. I suppose we would have to ask ourselves who were the men behind Regan's presidency.....

Here are some interesting facts about past presidents and their leadership I'll bet some of you overlooked.

Gerald Ford Administration:
-Secretary of Defense: Donald Rumsfeld
-White House Chief of Staff - Dick Cheney/Donald Rumsfeld
-Head of CIA: George H.W. Bush

Ronald Regan Administration:
-Vice President: George H.W. Bush
-Chief of Staff: James Baker
-Secretary of Treasury: James Baker (2nd Term)

Bush 1 administration
-Secretary of State: James Baker
-Secretary of Defense: Dick Cheney

Bush 2 Administration
-Vice President: Dick Cheney
-Secretary of Defense: Donald Rumsfeld
-Iraq War cleanup (unifficial) - James Baker

Neo-Conservative involvement in Republican presidencies from 1974-2008
Now do you understand why the wife of Ronald Regan might endorse McCain. Not like it really matters anyway. If McCain goes against Hilary it will be a landslide.

THE GOP INNER CIRCLE... Welcome to CORRUPT AMERICA!

WOW! Wake Up America!

JUST SAY NO TO MCCAIN thanks nancy for teaching us that!

She also is pro stem cell reasearch and probably knows Ron Paul would not support spending federal dollars on that.

Mccain is going to talk this one up, but at least Ron can say that reagan actually campaigned FOR him AND he has the goldwater endorsement. How could she even consider putting the power of the reagan name behind mccain after his sad performance at last night's debate. It's utterly shameful.

The GOP Establishment is nervous about their candidate options and their prospects for the general election.

They are now running out of time and decided that despite his massive shortcomings, they are going to rally around McCain.

They are going to try to polish this turd McCain and sell him to joe-six-pack-conservative-voter. However, this move is already showing massive cracks, with people like Rush Limbaugh in vocal opposition.

The GOP is pathetic. I think the whole brokered convention strategy is definately worthwhile for Dr Paul. But, if RP doesn't get the nomination, I would like to see a second act where Dr Paul goes full force on a 3rd party bid (very possibly securing a democrat victory).

If nothing else, I would like to take a big, steamy shit on the GOP as retailiation for all of their betrayal while at the same time furthering libertarian/constitutional ideals.

Talk about conspiring to have all the ducks in a ROW for the SHEEPLE of AMERICA.

MARK THESE WORDS:

John McCAIN will be Giving ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER A TOP POST in the Republican/GOP REGIME if they make that far!

We'll see how they do with the DIEBOLD machines and other voting SCAMs in winning the election.

It's not up to the GOP. The bankers, bilderbergs, and neo-cons run the show. Both GOP and DNC. McCain has been chosen. People need to stop dreaming of a Paul GOP nomination. If Paul had more traction in the MSM he may have a chance. It's up to us to canvass and educate people.

In 2000...

"I am proud to endorse George W. Bush for president," Mrs. Reagan said. "He is doing a fine job of carrying on Ronnie's legacy. His agenda of tax cuts, smaller government, and a strong national defense will build pride in America just as it did when my husband was president."

How did that pan out exactly?

Additionally, I doubt very much that she would "endorse" any candidate publicly before the nomination. She stated publicly in November that she would not.

There was one part of the debate when Paul was explaining how property rights relate to environmental policy. The camera went to an audience shot of Nancy and Schwarzenegger and they both looked confused and unsettled--Nancy in particular looked a little disturbed when Paul was talking.

Let's keep some perspective. Ronald Reagan supported Paul in NINETEEN SEVENTY EIGHT- 1978.

HELLO PEOPLE. You may have heard that in 1988 Ron Paul ran against Reagan's VP and called Reagan a failure?

Reagan did NOT support Ron Paul in 1996. One of his aides ( or someone working for Reagan, don't remember exactly) went out of his way in 1996 to say that Reagan was not endorsing Ron Paul against that former Democrat. The entire Republican establishment backed a Democrats versus Ron Paul in 1996.

Maybe Reagan kinda "sat it out" ( he was no longer in any office) plus had Alzheimers at the time. Anyway, it was long long ago that reagan and Paul supported each other.

Plus Paul does NOT have that unconditional love/worship of Ronald Reagan that all Republicans have. They agreed on many things, but not all.

If they were on such great terms at the time, why did Ron Paul leave the Republican party in 1985 and run against Reagan's VP/successor in 1988? It wasnt all about George Bush. A lot of it was issues with Reagan.

While Ron Paul is the candidate that best supports Reagan's rhetoric, in no way is he some obvious successor that should expect unconditional support from Ronald reagans wife.

The people with this naive and uninformed reaction are just more example of my fellow Ron Paul supporters that have NO perspective of reality- either how things actually are or how things work.

Statist Nancy for Statist McCain?

Nancy Reagan--one of the worst influences on her husband--who famously used his dotage to run the White House on the advice of her San Francisco astrologer, "adores" McKiller, according to Drudge:

"EXCLUSIVE: NANCY REAGAN FOR MCCAIN, TOP SOURCE TELLS DRUDGE: 'SHE ADORES HIM, AND IS FULLY SUPPORTING HIM IN HER PRIVATE LIFE. SHE WILL NOT PUBLICLY ENDORSE'..."

I noticed that when it happened. I assume part of the confusion resulted from RP giving a confusing partial answer. He said "property rights" but did not explain what it actually had to do with the topic. He didn't complete a thought that would make sense outside of the choir. It was like Rudy saying "9/11" or McCain saying "Phil Gramm, and I led the Navy" without explaining the connection.

Excellent! :D

I don't know what I hate more...the shit the GOP is doing, or the people who jerk off over the idea of a 3rd party nomination.

Nancy Reagan is a dingbat. Of course she will endorse another dingbat. Biggest problem is, there are a LOT of dingbats in America!
