A couple of my method's on accumulating silver.
For those with some time visit several pawn shop's. Once you have a good idea of what is a good value, and what is not, you can deal on the prices. Look for heavy weight items.
It might cost a little bit more sometimes but I have picked up some awesome jewelry.
Nice if you are married.
Same for gold. After a few days you will learn quickly what is or is not a deal.
Next if you watch sales at certain stores, one night alone my wife and I hit 8 stores and scooped up what is now thousands of dollars of silver jewelry because they were going to discontinue selling silver. They are great beautiful and heavy pieces.
Watch adds for stores, now that things are going to heck, when they are hurting and deep discount you can pick up great items. Know the price per ounce when you go and use your head.
Watch the weekend newspaper's for people in distress selling. You need to get the Friday, Saturday and Sunday paper and check for those and be ready to jump on them. You can deal.
When you spend the time, and do this, you can save shipping cost and ins. You can come out as well or better many times.
You do need to check and verify on the pieces the correct fineness.
My thing is, to buy when everyone is selling and save when everyone is buying. It has worked for me and my wife over all these years.
I suspect many people will be selling before long, so save and know when the opportunity is right.
I picked up a 35 year old spectacular 10k B & M watch with 5 oz of gold for 1k. I get raves when ever I wear it. Now it is more like 15K or more.
It can be done. You don't have to overpay. There are desperate people every day and the numbers will increase. Use your brains, and you will feel good when you make those finds.
Good Luck!
