Bush & The FED New Powers!

Am I getting this right?

The admin that brought us the spectacular clusterducks like Department of Homeland Security, which has actually accomplished WHAT again?... the complete reorganization of FEMA, which we saw how brilliantly that worked out after Katrina in NOLA... the re-tasking of the NSA to illegally data-mine billions of phone calls running through private sector corporations in the U.S... the purging of our national defenses by shipping our National Guard overseas... the funding of Sunni Terrorists in Lebanon... proposed selling our national port security to one of the countries that was nice enough to provide one of the 9/11 hijackers... privatized Interrogators that brought us Abu Ghraib and Gitmo...

NOW wants us to "trust" them with restructuring the Treasury Department???

To give them the authority to give the power to completely "regulate" the entire U.S. economy using an institution which in reality is an entirely privately owned interest?

No wonder there's no gold bars in Ft. Knox. They had to move it all to make room for the GIANT BRASS BALLS it takes to even joke about this.

They've been going after the money piece by piece since the moment they took office. I suppose nobody should actually be surprised that sooner or later they'd take a stab at grabbing it ALL.

Unreal.

What are implications long term? I don't understand what this means really. Apart from theft but well that has been going on for ages. You know the odd thing about Bush's crossing of the Rubicon, he does actually swagger. He tap dances. He really feels invincible. He probably is! Who is going to do what about it? And when?

Do you guys understand how little bush knows/understands about what the fed is doing?

It doesn't matter how much Bush knows about anything. It appears he figures since he isn't going to be president after the end of this year, he has nothing to lose if he does what ever he wants. He has the, 'what are they going to do to me, fire me?' attitude. Watch as his term gets closer and closer to it's end as he tries to get away with more and more.

The problem is, the checks and balances supposedly imposed by congress and the senate have become rusted in place from lack of use. Bush knows our congress and senate have no teeth when it comes to him. Bush and his circle jerk change off buddies need to be told, they will not be immune to the process of law even after they are out of office.

A lame clusterduck.

But anyway... it looks like this is how it's all gonna go down: the people get so desperate, they'll let the government step in and do whatever it takes to "save" them. Wonderful.

If you have any confidence in the quickly disintegrating "pundits," you deserve the severe beating coming.

The astute, are prepared. No bunnies allowed.

Pull your heads out!

So instead of abolishing the FED, they are going to give them even more power. Argh... such stupidity.... instead of doing what it takes to make things better, they move in the opposite direction. The FED causes the problem, so they give the FED more power to 'correct' the problem. Talk about insanity.

In a year from now, when you are unable to ignore the chaos around you, you are going to wish you were more concerned. Maybe it's starting now.

Nahhh! Have another Cheeseburger.

Indeed they are a bunch of clusterducks but soon we will all be flusterclucks...don't say that fast. Seems like CNN is more interested in Open Skies than this news. So what will this do to the stock market monday? Make it feel better?

Don't flusterclucks lay golden eggs?

My guess is the financial markets/investors will love it since as we have seen the FED will back takeovers such as we saw with JP Morgan over Bear Stearns. The actual bankers will hate it because it ties thier hands and hands control to the FED. I wonder how long before they move into other sectors of the market. If anyone seriously believes we have a free market system please hand them a laxative.
