It's official: Bush 41 and McCain set Houston meeting

It's official now. Former President George Herbert Walker Bush and John McCain are going to meet at Hobby Airport Monday morning.

And though the McCain campaign and the 41st president's office won't confirm it, numerous sources tell the Houston Chronicle that Bush intends to endorse McCain. Texas on the Potomac first reported on Bush's endorsement plans this morning.

The McCain campaign moments ago issued a one-sentence press release:

U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today announced that John McCain will hold a press conference with former President George H. W. Bush on Monday, February 18th.

As reported in our earlier scoop, the event at Hobby will take place at 9:30 a.m. CST.

Bush's public blessing will come at a critical juncture for McCain. A new poll out today had the GOP race in Texas a statistical tie, with McCain at 45 percent and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee at 41 percent. The poll, posted on the website of Texas Weekly, was conducted for the Texas Credit Union League by Democratic pollster David Beattie and Republican Glen Bolger.

Bush's son, the 43rd president, has said very positive things about McCain, his 2000 GOP primary opponent, over the past week. But White House officials say that the current president won't make an endorsement as long as former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee remains in the race.

Texas Rep. Ron Paul -- who ran against the senior Bush as the Libertarian Party nominee in 1988 -- is also on the Republican ballot in the March 4 Texas primary.

====================================================

I will try to confront these two traitors...
I WILL NOT wear any Ron Paul stuff....
I will ask them.... "So how do you guys like being David Rockefeller's Bitch? C.F.R.... Federal Reserve...."

McCain... "Ever hear of the 10th Amendment? A state can fly whatever flag they wish! Federal Government has no say so whatsoever!"

I will TRY to attend, but I can't commit to it.
I hope everyone in Houston will try to attend also.

You all know where hobby airport is... Go to the parking garage, get the ticket.... and walk inside...
Last I heard parking was like $2.00 for 1 hour

Why Hobby? That's weird. Why not the large airport that is named after him?

well I don't know, but one of them must be flying Southwest airlines... Hobby is the HUB for Southwest airlines.

Plus Intercontinental is way far away from the city, Hobby is right in the middle

hahah, Probably using the "Friends Fly Free" promo.

Logistics.... easy to keep "We the People" away from the speaking area. Hard for even that guy with the 30 foot Ron Paul pole to make the news when you announce in a secured area. No blimp, no Ron Paul airforce, nothing nothing nothing... as fitting as their message.

Hobby is small, basically just a little rinky dink ass airport... prolly taking a puddle jumper, private air carrier.

GOGOGOGO!!!

Is Dr Paul REALLY doing so poorly in TX? Say it aint so, mister.

He could be at 14% with those numbers. But of course maybe he aint even mentionedin that poll.

Also he is the Congressman for just one district in Texas. Its not like he is the governor or even a senator.
