No. Bush stepping in is surely going to rile up more opposition. He just added an even bigger reason NOT to vote for McCain. McCain will be defeated anyway, but Bush just sealed his fate.

Everyone knows that this election is about "change" duh. Since McCain isn't change, he'll lose. It is that simple because that's the extent of critical thinking skills most Americans use when they vote.

There'll will be ads every 5 minutes in the general reminding voters about this endorsement in the general.

Heck even Hillary could beat McCain fairly easily, but if they nominate "Mr. Change" Barack, it's going to be a landslide to the tune of 70% to 30%.

Even uninformed conservatives should be able to see this. Maybe we could ask the president of Iran, or Ted Kaczynski to endorse McCain, too.

Very unfortunately, Bush didn't name him. He just said back the frontrunner. Bush, like the party hacks, are trying to get the sheep to line up for a G.O.P. slaughter by the machine hack Clinton in November.
