I think this is someone with a personal vendetta against Bruce. I think she was an opposing lawyer on a case she was on and she's after him because of it. At least that's what I heard.

Could someone explain to me why this is a good thing? Will it help broaden Dr. Paul's base of support? I am not very familiar with him, so any insight would be helpful.

Last week, right after publishing my article on Congresswoman Schmidt and Bruce Fein’s brilliant foreign lobby money rechanneling-laundering scheme, and to my shock, I found out about this:
The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Campaign announced today that constitutional and international law expert Bruce Fein will join the campaign as senior advisor on legal matters.
“Bruce Fein’s participation adds to our campaign’s already intellectual heft, enabling us to more broadly engage the conversation about constitutionality, civil liberties and the dangers to national security of an increasingly interventionist foreign policy,” said Ron Paul 2012 Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.
While some at Rep. Paul’s Camp were busy celebrating and cheering the announcement as a brilliant strategic move, I was frantically gathering cases and research notes, corresponding with current and former colleagues from the intelligence community who had come to support Rep. Paul, and communicating with a few friends with Rep. Paul’s Campaign who were equally troubled by this development.

Well it makes sense now that I think about it. I'm an attorney and an associate of mine just got back from Gerry's trial college, and spoke very highly of Gerry. Has he ever made any public indication of support? I think Gerry's endorsement would push several RP leaners in my office into the RP supporter camp.

Stewart Rhodes knows Gerry Spence, but I could not find any endorsement of Ron Paul by Gerry Spence.
Besides the article linking him with $$millions from Foreign Lobbyists..
Bruce Fein is an adjunct professoer for AEI American Enterprise Institute. Probably the most pro-war neo-con assembly of folks.
Fein is not going to help Ron Paul win anything in 2012.

Absolutely irrelevant.
If you've ever heard Bruce speak (watch the videos earlier in the thread), or if you've read his book you'll know that he is on our side. Doug Wead, also an adviser to the campaign, helped to get TWO Bushes elected. But he's on our side too. Although Bruce might have working relationships with neocons, he is definitely not a neocon himself. The fact that he's willing to be involved in Ron's campaign proves that. Don't forget that Bruce was the Deputy Attorney General underneath Ronald Reagan which gives both him and the campaign tremendous credibility. Upper level Bush and Reagan Administration members are coming our direction means we are winning!
But don't take my word about Bruce, watch his speeches, and read his books to find out for yourself.

I'm familiar with some of his speeches & books.. I like what I hear, but AEI is a criminal orginization in my book, that also gives fantastic speeches & publishes books.
They are also Dick Cheney & other neo-cons homebase. I don't get how Fein can be a part of them, if he is so good in your book.
I have also followed Sibel Edmonds for a few years & think she's a pertty honest lady thru & thru.
