Brought to you by RedState: Is Ron Paul losing his supporters?

What a sad attempt at a hit piece. Ron Paul doesn't lose supporters. People who realize what freedom means does not go "Well, this is cool, but I really want a big gov't to tell me what to do" it just doesn't happen.

What drivel. Like everyone had a revelation last night and said, "F*** this s***. I'm done with Paul". That's the problem of studies using n = 1.

The explanation is in the comments:

Yeah, except that it cost around $100 to attend this event. Newt bailed on it because of super-low attendance and I haven’t heard that any other candidates showed up. I think you will continue to see growing numbers of RP supporters at his rallies.

Actually this is good news. No hard-core supporters means that probably 50-60 undecided voters went to see Ron speak. He probably converted a lot of them!

And the fact that NEWT canceled on the same event.

LOL

Bunch of propagandist circle-jerks.

The disinformation campaign is incredible, almost like being in Russia going against Putin.

The real story per MSNBC First Read:

The real headline at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference did not come from anything said there, but rather the event's dismal attendance, which prompted at least one candidate to cancel his appearance.
There were about 25 people in the space set aside for the conference at 9 A.M. when Newt Gingrich was scheduled to speak. But his campaign cancelled hisappearance despite the traveling press being brought into the event space, which would have seated about 800 people.
The attendance picked up around 10 A.M. when Texas Rep. Ron Paul spoke, his supporters bringing the total attendance up to at least 100 people.

I am a supporter of Dr. Paul, but what worries me is when the media decides to use the Barney Frank/Soros angle to make a hit on him---they already have online. Dr. Paul showed a pix on his site of Newt sitting with Nancy Pelosi this a.m., but how will he feel when the media finally smarts-up realizing he exists as a viable threat and drives that angle? I hope his PR is really for it, because the dummies will awaken and go for the attack on the airwaves. That angle rocked my boat, because I could find no opposition to it other than that Dr. Paul uses both sides of the aisle to make an avenue toward liberty. Has anybody had a good perspective on this? I remain for Ron Paul 2012!

Welcome to the forums.

Ron is a coalition-builder, as he mentioned in the debate last night he worked with democrats to fight against SOPA.

Sometimes the mainstream R's use this to say Ron isn't a conservative.

The truth is Ron is the most conservative candidate running, while Santorum/Gingrich and Romney were pushing individual mandates and bank bailouts Ron consistently opposed them.

The MSM will slam and ignore Ron as much as possible but dont let that deter you. Keep reading and learning and you will come to love Ron more. Thanks
