Never have been in favor of two parties let a lone three.

But do to the lack of time, I say third party.

Then after that it is time to split the people.

Identify those candidates who are 100% for the Constitution as written and the rule of law.

And those candidates who are not 100% for the Constitution as written and the rule of law.

Or a slight variation there of. May be not 100%

This will be the new two party system for you to politic in.

Cut and dry.
For or Against.

Obama is winning huge latino support right now because of the vote down of the DREAM Act, etc. and Rubio knows Romney is a sinking ship like the rest of the GOP know he is, plus, Rubio can wait until 2016 to actually run for President and win.

A Hispanic vp would swing a number of Hispanics to Romney, who actually has a somewhat decent shot at winning the Presidency. Finally, if Rubio becomes VP and doesn't say anything astronomically dumb he would be a much stronger front runner in 2016.

Stop with the third party stuff. Some states have sore loser laws which prevent a candidate who lost in a primary to appear on a general election ballot. Ron isn't going to do that...

My understanding is that most sore-loser laws do not apply to presidential candidates.

Brokered convention and then if Ron is not the nominee, then third party run.

The Republican Convention takes place at the end of August. How's Paul going to turn around and get on the ballot in every state, and run an effective campaign with two months left before the general election?

I like Rand but I don't really care about what Ron's "last hoorah" will do to Rand's chances later.
There may not be a later, the way things are shaping up.
I know that's unpopular round these parts.
Oh well.

should have been 4 choices, the 4th being both. brokered convention and 3rd party are not mutually exclusive, and complement each other.

by having a 3rd party line already in place the GOP elite would know they have two choices : Obama or Paul; without that threat they think their choice is Obama or Jeb.

this is done all the time across New York state , Republicans secure the conservative line, and Democrats secure the Liberal and now the Working Family line.

And that kills Rand's chances for every winning anything.

I keep hearing that. That is entirely conjecture. Who is to say the establishment GOP will not go after Rand anyway. Look what happened to Libya. They gave up their nuclear program and we attacked them.

by getting either the Libertarian or American votes line NOW, and use it as a hammer on the GOP elite. he could get either line easily. and then win a brokered convention. they might hate him, but they hate Obama more.

The chips were always stacked against Ron, look at all the dirty tricks thats been played on him since Iowa, by both the MSM and the GOP! Then factor all those shenanigans into a dumbed down American electorate... And don't forget all the technical difficulties either, oh oh and but its ok for the camera's and sound equipment to breakdown so long as the electronic vote rigging machines don't...

The bastards have been robbing Dr. Paul since the get go..

You seem to think America would survive the next 36 months without a major crisis whether they'll be monetary or military.

Even if something DOES happen (and it is not NEARLY as likely as you seem to think) that does not mean Rand would win.

He needs to stay in the race until May. Continue to spread the message, and then take the Libertarian ticket. Paul/Napolitano. They will have a chance to take the Repubs that won't get behind Romney, and after war starts with Iran, Anti-war Dems will join as well. The GOP will not allow him to be their Nominee.

if he already has a ballot line, AND its a brokered convention they will hand him the nomination on a silver platter. and hating every minute of it. but they will hold their noses and vote Paul.

I read somewhere(I think it was coming from RockweLL) that if Ron Paul wanted the Libertarian nomination they would hand it to him on a golden platter, but he would have to quit the GOP race before the LP decided their candidate in May. I may be wrong though.

the rand 2016 is a pipedream.
