I concur, I wouldn't do any victory dances until you have at least half of those uncommitted delegates in your pool, this isn't over yet.

No it's not over yet, but if we have a majority in the major contested counties then we'll send the majority of at large delegates to the convention which could sway some voters. Not to mention will the delegates for the other campaigns surely show up? This question does not need to be asked for Paul's supporters

I know we are a caucus state, and I have tried to research our process, but every time I just come away with my head spinning. So what is the deal in CO?

This should be making some national news. It's a showing of real grassroots organization, the kind that can win the nomination even if the party establishment doesn't like the candidate much.

We have more chance of getting me and Josh appointed as Supreme Court Justices than we do of getting Paul people named as Vermont delegates.

It's a very closed process.

But Vermont is the kind of state where if Paul wins the primary, no Vermonter will go back on that. No matter how many ballots the convention goes.

A delegate goes to the Republican National Convention and does what? If everything is based on votes, how will being a delegate help Ron Paul win?

This is really simple and not totally correct, but it should help you understand the process a little bit better.

Delegates are selected or elected, and then they choose the state delegates who will go to the RNC and vote for the Presidential nominee.

Again, it's not this simple, but think of a delegate as representing a chunk of the population, and casting a nominating vote as their representative.

Also, while many states require the delegates to vote in accordance with the primary results, oftentimes if there's a runoff at the convention you'll be released to vote your conscience.

I would like to point out that many are calling this a majority-- it's not. It's not even a plurality. Considering that there are 1,478 delegates listed, only 14.68% are committed to Ron Paul.

Given the amount of uncommitted delegates and "automatic delegates" (such as county officers, etc), I would say you guys still have A LOT of work to do. Good job though!!!
