BREAKING - Paul: Fox News is 'scared of me'

Before this idea gets buried let me add my support!
Set up a TV in the rally room (or have someone record/edit and replay questions as needed) and have Ron Paul give his answers to the questions asked.

Great idea!

Dutch

Awesome idea!!!!!!!!!

Everyone needs to remember to be careful, because I suspect that FOX news will send out provocateurs to the protest outside of the debate building and try to cause a riot. If they succeed you can sure as hell bet that they will "conveniently" capture it on tape and blow up the story all over their channel as "This is how Ron Paul supporters REALLY act".

PEACEFUL is the key here.

Your right. But I think it's virtually impossible. Maybe we could get some MSMBC to mention it the next day or make sure local media show up. Nationally, there will be no report on Ron's larger event.

Why not ask MSNBC to air it live?

PEACEFUL is the key here.

I agree, but STFU is their call on us.

STFU is also our legitimate call on them.

Violence is not called for here, nor has it been advocated.

But the time for pitching a fit has arrived. Go beserk !

What about getting St. Anselm College to disinvite the candidate "roundtable" event?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, What if we contact the President of the College, make him/her aware of the injustice of the situation and see if the forum can be either cancelled entirely or on a fairness/free speech issue be reformatted to include Ron Paul?

Shouldn't this option be explored before more drastic measures are taken by RP supporters?

You would think that the Catholic St. Anselm's College would not be comfortable having Huckabee, the buddy of notorious anti-Catholic John Hagee, at their campus. What does Bill Donahue of the Catholic League think of this?

There's another thread on this already. The President of the College brought out a silver bowl, washed his hands, and said "Do with him what you will."

The more I read Ron Paul's words, the more I think he basically just told us it is time to take the gloves off! Release the hounds. I think I like Bob's sentiment the best:

Violence is not called for here, nor has it been advocated.

Well, I intend to! This will help me so much in making calls to all in my district. This is exactly the kind of thing that will get folks to look at Ron Paul if you ask them to. Fox did us the biggest favor we could have ever hoped for here. Thank you so much Fox.

Now, everyone, go out tomorrow and call, or go to as many houses as you can. It is time now to go all out with slim jims and canvassing and all of the things that make us uncomfortable.

We have a huge hook now. Do you want to know about the man that Fox news has just banned from the last debate before the primary? Do you want to know about the man that the mainstream propaganda folks are so afraid of they won't let you near him? Etc. It works beautifully. When we were in Iowa making all of those calls before the straw poll, the fact that he was kicked out of that debate thing there helped tremendously.

I also heard that someone was having success calling sponsors of faux news and being very polite and some of them were backing out.

It looks to me that Ron Paul has officially untied our hands and has said it is time for the troops to rally. So, let's rally!!!

Ron Paul says Fox News afraid to let him debate
Candidate excluded from N.H. line-up – 'They don't want my message to get out'

Ron Paul says he will be excluded from the GOP presidential forum held two days before New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation primary and the candidate says he knows why – Fox News is "scared" of him.
The Jan. 6 forum, sponsored by the New Hampshire Republican Party, will feature Fox New Channel's Chris Wallace questioning the Republican candidates – Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson. But not Paul.
"Given Ron Paul's support in New Hampshire and his recent historic fundraising success, it is outrageous that Dr. Paul would be excluded," said Ron Paul 2008 campaign chairman Kent Snyder. "Dr. Paul has consistently polled higher in New Hampshire than some of the other candidates who have been invited."
Paul told the Boston Globe the decision to exclude him from the forum the weekend before primary voters headed to the polls is proof Fox News is "scared" of him.
"They are scared of me and don't want my message to get out, but it will," Paul said. "They are propagandists for this war and I challenge them on the notion that they are conservative."
In addition to Paul, candidates Duncan Hunter and Alan Keyes are also not invited to participate.
The format of the forum will have Wallace and five candidates seated around a table in a studio at St. Anselm College in Goffstown, N.H.
The Paul campaign is planning a rally to coincide with the 90-minute forum being broadcast on the Fox News Sunday program beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
"They will not win this skirmish," Paul promised.
"Paul supporters should know that we are continuing to make inquiries with Fox News as to why they have apparently excluded Dr. Paul from this event," campaign chairman Snyder said.

Ron Paul Out-Foxed?
by Jason George

Rep. Ron Paul and supporters of his presidential bid are in an uproar over what they believe is his exclusion from a televised debate on Jan. 6, two days before the New Hampshire primary.
While campaigning in the Granite State on Saturday, Paul called Fox News, one of the debate's sponsor, "scared of me." They "don't want my message to get out, but it will," according to The Boston Globe's Primary Source blog.
"They are propagandists for this war and I challenge them on the notion that they are conservative."
Kent Snyder, Paul's campaign chairman continued in a statement: “Given Ron Paul’s support in New Hampshire and his recent historic fundraising success, it is outrageous that Dr. Paul would be excluded.”
A joint Boston Globe-University of New Hampshire poll from a week ago has Paul in 5th place in the state, pulling 8 percent of the vote.
Jesse Benton, a campaign spokesman, said they haven't heard directly from Fox that Paul is excluded; and if so, why that happened. "We've called Fox six times and have not had our calls returned," he said.
Calls and emails to Fox News spokespersons by the Tribune were not returned Saturday evening.
An official at the New Hampshire GOP, which is co-sponsoring the event with Fox, said that Paul might still be included, but the planning for the debate was still coming together and it was ultimately Fox's call.
The Associated Press reported on Thursday that the candidates participating in the 90-minute forum at St. Anselm College in Goffstown, N.H., will be Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Gov. Mike Huckabee, Sen. John McCain, Gov. Mitt Romney and Sen. Fred Thompson.

Thats my local paper! Commented.

woot, betcha all the major media SNAGS this story... they hate FAUX.

oh and i hoep some lawyers point out the FCC law about broadcasting:

Political Broadcasting.

Broadcasts by Candidates for Public Office. When a qualified candidate for public office has been permitted to use a station, the Communications Act requires the station to "afford equal opportunities to all other such candidates for that office." The Act also states that the station "shall have no power of censorship over the material broadcast" by the candidate. We do not consider either of the following two categories as a "use" that is covered by this rule:

An appearance by a legally qualified candidate on a bona fide newscast, interview or documentary (if the appearance of the candidate is incidental to the presentation of the subject covered by the documentary); or

on-the-spot coverage of a bona fide news event (including political conventions and related incidental activities).

Political Editorials. Within 24 hours of airing an editorial where the station itself either supports or opposes a candidate for public office, it must transmit the following three things to the other qualified candidate(s) for the same office or to the candidate who was opposed in the editorial: (1) notification of the date and the time of the editorial; (2) a script or tape of the editorial; and (3) an offer of a reasonable opportunity for the candidate or a spokesperson for the candidate to respond on the air.
