Breaking News: Snohomish County (WA State) was counting votes incorrectly !!!!

OK, guys, don't infer too much into this, but i went to a district GOP meeting in January where they discussed how to only allow "republicans" to participate. They said that they added a column for presidential preference to their original sign-in sheets (i bet you won't find it on the 2004 form) in order to identify supporters of "the other candidate" and recomended minimizing our influence.

There was no mention at this meeting, nor at my pooled-caucus location, that these "presidential preference" numbers would be tabulated in any way. There is no mention of a straw-poll in my PCO packet either nor was there any mention i could find on the Washington GOP website prior to the caucuses.

Hope this helps. Hope it doesn't cause more confusion, but if you understand what I've written then you will understand much of what the other Washington State folks have written.

They also discussed how to declare people ineligible to participate, but that's another subject.
The RNC agrees with Ron Paul and anyone trying to be a delegate or precinct captain can affirm these core RNC ideals honestly:

RNC http://www.youtube.com/rnc :
"The future of our country, the direction that we go as people, whether we move ahead to meet the challenges of the future or slide back into the irresponsible policies of the past, will be determined by those who get involved." --Ronald Reagan

For more than 150 years the Republican Party has stood for lower taxes, limited government, and a strong national defense. To keep this tradition alive and well, the Republican National Committee needs you to get involved.

The RNC needs your energy, your excitement, and your idealism to push Republicans to victory in 2007, 2008, and beyond.

Well, what kind of name is "Snohomish" anyways?

Indian/native American if you really care. Seattle is named after Chief Sealth (too hard to pronounce, or so the story goes). Mt. Rainier is really Mt. Tahoma and Tacoma - it looks like they got Sealthed as well. More info than you wanted. Redmond is named after the late Murray Redmond, the brainchild behind exponential property tax growth and urban sprawl zoning.

Make a motion for a vote of "no confidence" at your county convention. you should read what some of the folks in Alaska are doing at their local GOP conventions - http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=117171

that's one of the things i think we should be contemplating as we move toward these conventions. if we have the muscle, lets use it for good.

i can think of somewhere else a vote of 'no confidence' could be implemented.

Is there any new info about this?

This is a message from the Washington state RP campain coordinator:

"February 13, 2008

Hello XYZ,

You should all be very proud of what you have accomplished! I am very proud and from what I hear so is everyone :>) Thank you for these results, and for sending in the delegate information we needed to verify where we stand. I know some of you had very frustrating experiences and opposition but we are now in an excellent and exciting position. Thank you for braving your first caucus so splendidly...you won't be alone at the conventions!! I hope you all saw Dr. Paul's current video of his plans to be there!

It is happening all across America that when we reach a critical juncture, instead of defeat we really end up with a whole new Ron Paul level of solid foundation to build on! The point of the caucus states is not to win but to get delegates. And right now it looks as though with only 32 counties reporting if we have only half of the uncommitteds then we have the most delegates! "

It looks like some states are still counting.....
