BREAKING NEWS:Israeli ground forces enter Gaza in escalation

But really, it is not our place to criticize the activities of other countries. What ever happened to the non interventionist policies of those who would agree with Ron Paul? When we begin to criticize one country or another, we stop being non interventionist and start taking sides. This is wrong and we should refrain from doing these things.
We have the right to criticize all we want. We just don't have the right to get involved.

Remember, the US is funding Israel with tax dollars. Do we not have the right to stand up and say STOP? Our silence is consent.

Like it will do any good but to get your blood pressure up. I'm not going to take sides in this and I would suggest others not take sides as well.

Go ahead, stay STOP... nobody is listening anyway.

Well, the thing is, our government has already taken a side, and all we can do is criticize. How many Americans are duped into this war on terror bullshit our politicians have been spinning for so many years? And, you know, Israel is a big part of it, just look over some recent Bush quotes on the current >invasion< to sum it up (and you know Bush and Olmert are ideological butt buddies).

I'm saying that, if our tax dollars are going to support a tyrannical foreign government, why can't we tax payers criticize this support, at least in this particular predicament? In fact, I think criticism is a healthy party of discourse (as long as it doesn't turn into ranting and raving). So, critique on!

Imagine, if we were a truly free nation, and our government were kept at a bare minimum, and our country were very successful (and not because we were floating on financial bubbles provided by Bernanke and co) economically and socially, we could use our success as reasoning for those who live in nations less free and stable... You know, open eyes with arguments against bloated and disloyal governments that do not serve the people. So, nothing wrong with criticizing with words, just that part where you're criticizing with bombs and bullets. Brah

It is fine to criticize but not fine to take sides in what is going on over there. I object to what both sides are doing.

A lot of people here just see Israel as the bigger problem. Israel IS a part of western interventionism.

Exactly, no support for the war. Let them hash it out between themselves.

We're not involved as far as I can tell. Do I care about other countries foreign policies? Nope.

its actually kind of chilling to see how little you care for your fellow man. i know you would be singing a different tune were you in anyone else's shoes.

Yeah, really... I've noticed how much the Canadians care about others too.... they haven't intervened in any other countries business.

I think you're having difficulty differentiating between individuals and governments.

Seems a lot of people here are having that problem. If we are not responsible for what our government does, then why should we be blamed by the people in other countries when it does something wrong?
