no need to get all excited because u never know when the GOP can change their rules and kick those delegates out.
in fact they may make it illegal to have enthusiasm for your candidates - they will say - see we like Romney but we are not enthusiastic about him, we dont cheer for him this much - its bad !! LOL

On Free Republic, Romney will not be supported even if he's the nominee is what JimRob very recently said. The Santorum and Gingrich supporters over there will not be jumping over to Romney quickly.

They will if it is announced that Santorum will be Romney's VP by the time the RNC comes around.

Santorum would have taken Texas, and there would have been a very good chance that he could have taken Romney to a brokered convention. No way would Santorum have dropped out of the race unless there was something in it for him.

I haven't been on this forum for long... But I've been on others where multiple Paul supporters say they would vote for Romney if Rand was the VP. I 'm pretty sure there are many Santy supporters that are no different.

that is quite a valid point.
I was suspecting this, that either Gingrich or Santorum would finally give in to Romney in return for some position.
Santorum is out, but we have to wait and see what he gets out of it - maybe this time, or maybe he would just like to the the status quo frontrunner next election cycle.

and once things become clearer, we would see how many Santorum supporters (most of them should be the Anti-Romney vote) hate Obama or Romney or Paul more !

I wonder what will happen if Santorum is VP, will his delegates vote for Romney on the first ballot ? or they vote for Santorum ?

i can promise you the gop establishment was doing everything they can to make sure we do not win. This win was us the delegates over gop establishment. so they gave us no bread crumbs. We are taking the whole loaf if we can They are giving us nothing. We are winning it over their bs!

Today when only 5 guys vote for Mitt and rest for Ron it will be pretty hard to be "stealth" and convince people that all of them are those 5 Mitts guys...comical situation it will be.(that was picture in my head when I read your post)

Can someone tell me briefly, before I spend the money to drive to Denver, why there is a unity slate approved by the campaign that has Santorum supporters on it when there should have been plenty of Ron Paul supporters to make it a 100% RP slate? I feel sold out right now, gotta say. And from this e-mail that has been circulated to some people, I'm not the only one.

"ugh.. so much I could share from today. I'll give the essentials:

1. the general feeling is that the RP campaign sold us out. we made our own slates today because they negotiated with the Santorum campaign (why?) to put a TON of his supporters on OUR slate. so, be prepared to get a list from me or someone called the "grassroots" liberty/conservative slate. it will have 100% RP delegates on it. Jason and I are organizing it for the ENTIRE state.

2. we won a ton of delegates today. by some accounts, 75%+. by other accounts, closer to 50%.

3. BUT we had FOURTEEN empty seats from Larimer county. that is, if you showed up, you DEFINITELY would have been seated. SHOW UP TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4. be ready for anything. today we had CHAIRS of CDs speak out against Ron Paul or unpledged delegates. we have it on video. bring your cameras and run them - all day.

OK, that's all for now. BE THERE TOMORROW!!! PLEASE! We could walk away with about 30 of 36 Colorado delegates if everyone shows!!
