BREAKING: Gingrich fails to get on VA ballot!! Down to Romney vs. Paul!!

With all the hate Mitt has, this is going to end up being just great!

Maybe we should forward this information to all the polling companies and let them know that when they do VA polls to only do them between Paul and Mitt because the others won't be receiving any votes in that state.

This will be useful to bring up to the Anti-Romney voters in Iowa!
It means Gingrich and the others CAN'T get the delegates from Virginia ... So how can they beat Romney?
Only Paul is enough of a leader, manager, organizer to get on the ballot everywhere.

Ron Paul and Romney got enough signatures to get on the Virginia primary ballot.
Gingrich and all the rest FAILED to get enough votes!! And Gingrich LIVES in VA!

It's now down to Romney and Paul!!!

What does this mean for us?

This is about to get very interesting!

i have an idea guys
not sure if it will work
but what if some of us "voluntarily" sign for newt/perry from now on, but give them fake info
so they might think they have enough signatures eg 11k , but in fact 2000 of them is fake

perhaps this is what is happening?

Ummm...NO! That would be unethical and Dr. Paul certainly wouldn't stand for something like that.

I think at some point the home from phone needs to move into VA and do some Romney/Paul polling

This isn't really great....I think if Romney gets greater than 50% he takes all the delegates....so someone is going to walk away with all of 'em and in that state I don't think it's us...Would have been nice to have newt to split the vote.

I don't know how true this might be though. I cruise other political sites, and one is a few Fox News blogs. The Newt supporters are screaming a "Romney Conspiracy", and are all threatening to vote for Ron Paul to spite Romney....LOL

This is worth mentioning again...

In the 2008 Virginia primary Romney won 4% of the vote. Paul earned 5%. McCain won and Huckabee came in second. There are many, many Virginians who will not vote for Romney. As a Virginian and knowing this state fairly well I can say this is awesome news. My boots are hitting the ground.

Also in Virginia we are not registered dems/repubs. On primary day you show up and pick which primary you want to vote in (unless that has changed since last time so someone correct me if I'm wrong). We are ripe for blue republicans. Virginia voted for Obama last time after being a normally red state but also voted in a very conservative governor.

In Virginia the right to homeschool is important- we have many homeschoolers. Second amendment rights are also important in most areas. Northern VA and the coast are more "big govt" than the rest of the state. I'm going to think on this a bit and get in contact w/our my local meetup group (we just moved to a new area).

I am very excited! :)

VA is apparently a winner take all state, if the winner gets a majority

Not true. The 13 at large delegates are winner take all if a candidate has 51%.

The 40-50 congressional district delegates are proportional no matter what the vote totals.
