Breaking: Brunner Preparing for Akin Dropout Scenario

Something doesn't smell right with this. The GOP establishment is jumping on the "dump Akin" bandwagon far too easy.

And the fact that they want to ignore the other contenders in the Primary race is of interest. At this point, I would urge Akin to stay in the race.

Probably to distance him from Romney-Ryan. From your post in the other Akin thread:

Akin and Ryan cosponsored a 2011 bill, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortions Act, that would redefine rape as "forcible rape," narrowing the scope of what's considered rape in cases of abortion.

It's true though that everything the neo-Trot establishment does is suspect, and you always have to look for their ulterior motives.

That's what I think as well. Not knowing Akin in depth, I had the immediate feeling, "ah, the establishment shills are pouncing on a gaffe to force a more principled or tea party type guy out, to put a bland Mitt-bot in his place."

I smell a rat also.

I am convinced that the GOP establishment would much rather have a democrat in office than a real conservative...not that Akin has convinced me that he is one.

I emailed the campaign telling them to drop out.

NOTE: I'm not necessarily an Akin fan, but I did vote for him.

Your suggestion should carry more weight if you are a Missouri resident. If you are not, one could make the argument that such input from non-residents does not respect the will of the voters of Missouri.

Akin's dumbass comments would have died down quickly had it not been for the establishment GOP throwing him under the bus in a pathetic attempt to act like politically-correct genderless democrats.
