Thinking about a scientific reason for this, I'd say it's nature's way of promoting peaceful prosperity. When economic conditions are good, people don't need children as much to help with labor. When children are more likely to make it to adulthood, there's no need for replacement offspring. Our bodies sense this and sex becomes more for enjoyment rather than procreation.

I'm not advocating guys shave everything off, though I hear a lot of girls really do appreciate a little trimming. If my gf wanted me to shave it all I'd certainly have an open mind to try it and go along with it for a while, but she is in the keep it trimmed category.

I'm talking about for girls. You can give a guy head without having to put all that hair in your mouth if you focus on the top 80-90% whereas on a girl one must dig through all that to get to the important part.

I think the attractiveness is secondary, though it is certainly more attractive if there's no hair for whatever reason. What the banned guy said likely does play some role in that.

Because shaving is a new fad, even though the people embracing it have decided they have a reason to do so.

Back them, men didn't shave at all (gay) and women might shave once in a while to space things up a bit. The concept that young women now think that a pre-pubescent groin is more attractive than a nice, full, well-maintained bush is just beyond me. Of course, I don't get tattoos or cell phones, either.

Trimming is polite, imo. You may not think so. The great thing is it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, because it really is one of those issues that only involves people in person and in intimate circumstances. If a gal wants to have a full-on hair panty and then try to fit it all into a swimsuit, more power to her I guess. There is nothing in this universe that could make me think of that as alluring.

PS - Power of the media my rear end. I wanted to shave my legs and armpits because I didn't like how it looked. I hate excess hair. I was already trimming before I ever saw trimmed or waxed genitals.
