Brainstorming: Getting State Gov't Officials to Endorse Dr. Paul

This was brought up in the legalize drugs thread. The idea of state governments finally getting back the powers which are delegated to them by the Constitution and precedent should be very alluring. Ron Paul is the only guy interested in doing such things. Should we contact our Republican state government officials and make a case for them for Ron Paul? Or is this half-baked?

You would have to target those officials that know that state govt is as high as they will get, or as highup as they want to go.

Of course the pissed off voter in me says that the state officials are just as bought/sold/controlled by the National level, that it wouldn't work publicly. But behind the scenes they may really want it.

Possibly. But it's worth a shot. I'm going to start compiling a list of legislators for Georgia.

It will be interesting to see if state officials from those other 33 states in the coalition follow suit.

Yes, the states may be as corrupt as the Federal government, but you have way more power over your states than the federal government. States can change a lot faster for the people.
