Boehner below 50 percent support in own district ahead of Tuesday’s primary

Republican House Speaker John Boehner would win only 49 percent of the vote if his re-election race were held today, according to an internal poll conducted by Gravis Marketing, results of which were obtained exclusively by The Daily Caller.

Boehner picked up 49 percent support in his re-election bid and registered a 30 percent “unfavorable” rating in the poll, which surveyed high-propensity voters in Ohio’s eighth congressional district.

Unfortunately, this is a case where two "Tea Party" candidates are playing spoiler to each other.

...
It’s unlikely that the Speaker will lose his renomination fight. The fact that he has three opponents in an electoral system with no run-off means it will be very difficult to coalesce the anti-Boehner Republican vote around one candidate.

anyone but Boehner, don't care who replaces him even if it's a Democrat

It's interesting that no one has polled this race. If there were polls, it would make it more obvious which Tea Party candidate needed to drop out and endorse the other. One candidate (Ashworth) did drop out and endorse Gurr.

Boehner, one of the worse GOP House Leaders ever.

BTW, have you notice his '2 Bit' publicity stunt on Speaker John Boehner forming the "Benghazi SELECT Commission"

Remember One very important thing... It was John Boehner that rushed his bill to the House floor to undermine Congressman Dennis Kucinich's Peace with Libya Bill when it was a bill that put all of Congress on the spot about war-peace.

Boehner's Bill won out, the US/NATO assininated a government, turned the country into a sectarian shithole, and now we findout, the CIA was gun running and now sophisticated SAM/MPAD weapons to rebels and terrorists through Libya destination Pakistan, Jordan, Turkey, onward into the hands of Syria terrorists. Additionally, the public found out through Congressman Brad Sherman's floor debate that $1 Billion in funds went from DHS to Boehner's Invasion and War in Libya.

This should be a political ad... it would smoke John's polling numbers.

It will still be a good outcome if Boehner stays under 50%. Hopefully others in similar primaries will drop out. Cantor only has one challenger.

Boehner, Cantor and the rest will glide to landslide primeay wins no matter what internal polls claim they're not vulnerable in any way.
