somebody also told me that the-anti Act people wanted him to vote for it so they'd have some sort of inside man... i don't know much about that... and I don't know if it's true either

Dr. Paul voted for Barr's drug war amendment regarding DC AND Barr's Defense of Marriage Act.

How could we ever compare them?

Regret? A leader, a libertarian leader at that, should have the foresight to recognize the legalization of the curtailing of freedom and liberties.

I can see it now. If Barr gets the nomination, libertarians will do what they do best and commit suicide for no reason in the name of purity. He's explained his awakening on issues like the PATRIOT Act and the drug war. Were you always on board with the entire liberty message?

He's got respect in the media because he was a successful Republican leader (unlike Paul who has always been an outcast). I think he may turn out to be a darn good candidate, especially if he can get into the debates.

I was for the Patriot Act when it was introduced. Since then, I have awakened. If Bob Barr says he regrets that vote, then we should consider his explanation.

I will vote for Bob Barr if I have a choice between Obama, McCain and Barr.

I am not aware of how Paul voted on the drug war amendment, but I do know that Paul WAS NOT IN CONGRESS when the Defense of Marriage act was voted on.
