Bloomberg News Poll- Iowa- Cain 20%, Paul 19%, Romney 18%, Gingrich 17%

Since this thread will get all the attention... IS THIS AN ONLINE POLL?!

Holy Cow! This is the best news I've seen in a long time. Awesome poll, we are tied for 1st in Iowa!

Keep at it guys, we CAN win this!

Since this thread will get all the attention... IS THIS AN ONLINE POLL?!

says it was a survey, not online. The real test will be if tomorrow the media reports it as the following:

New poll out on Iowa from Bloomberg news:
Cain 20 %
Romney 18 %
Gingrich 17 %

Apparently this was done by the same pollster that polls for the Des Moines Register.. So either the Register convinced this pollster to fudge the numbers a couple of weeks ago, or Ron has surged like a motherfucker.

Wow, and with Cain's support dropping day by day we are basically on top in this poll with Romney.

Nice!

And no doubt our supporters are way more enthusiastic than the rest too!

Given this quote

The Bloomberg Iowa poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.4 percentage points and was taken Nov. 10-12. Selzer & Co. is the same West Des Moines-based firm that conducts the Iowa Poll for the Des Moines Register newspaper.

I'd say it was probably not online. Excellent news. :D Also promising that more people in the state report hearing from the Paul campaign then any of the other candidates. That's the sort of stuff that wins elections, especially in a state like Iowa.

I'd like to see another poll confirm this, especially PPP. Is Bloomberg an accurate pollster?

If there is a statistical tie, we win. Our people will show up no matter what. Those with soft support, probably not so much.

Yeaw I would like to see how this poll was taken. It is almost to good to be true. This would be awsome.

Paul’s campaign leads for voter contact, with about two thirds of respondents saying they’ve heard from his campaign, followed by 61 percent who said they’ve been reached by Bachmann’s campaign.

Good work Iowans! This is AWESOME news

Well, I looked up the Des Moines results from the 2008 caucus. This is their last result from before the election.

Huckabee: 32%
Romney: 26
McCain: 13
Thompson: 9
Paul: 9

http://www.desmoinesregister.com/ar.../New-Iowa-Poll-Obama-widens-lead-over-Clinton

And the actual results:
Huckabee: 34%
Romney: 25
Thompson: 13
McCain:13
Paul:9.93

So aside from Thompson, they were dead on in 2008. Let's hope history repeats itself, eh?:)

This needs to be spread far and wide. If this doesn't recharge grassroots enthusiasm, I don't know what will.

Phone From Home will boost these numbers a lot. We have 1.5 months to make this happen. We need to come up with a way to advertise Phone From Home to more supporters. The more people doing it, the higher we'll surge in the polls.

Thats an incredibly small sample size to mean much of anything when you break it down to the 3rd/4th level - probably not all 503 polled caucused in 2008, but if they did, 10% (his % in 08) of 503, call it 50, and then 31% of that, call it 15, so at the most, 15 people that were polled have changed from him to someone else or undecided. these numbers decrease rapidly if they only caught 7% of Paul's supporters in 08, or if say 75% of the polled didn't caucus in 08.

What's notable is the fact that 32% of his 19% have their minds made up, so his floor is 6-7% (and we all know its gonna be a lot higher since we are fanatics and will have the best get out the vote organization for our candidate).
