Bloomberg Leaves the Republican Party

Bloomberg throws hat in

Maypr Bloomberg just left the republican party to announce indy for president
I would think to try to pull some of the votes from Ron the plot thickens

As a fellow New Yorker, I think this will hurt Rudy Giuliani and Hillary Clinton. I don't think this will hurt Ron Paul as much, or even Democrats like Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel.

I don't see this hurting Ron Paul UNLESS Bloomberg favors a RP approach to foreign policy, which I doubt.

This won't hurt Paul at all. He's a socialist.

I had to read your post twice there. The first time I read it, I thought you called Ron a socialist. Then I read it a second time and realized what you meant. :D hahaha

:p

I think there is some over optimism on this. Bloomberg can pick up independents that RP is looking for. WTF is Bloomberg's platform?

No gun owner will ever vote for Bloomberg. That's something in our favor.

Ha ha. Now that's funny.

Chris Matthews was just caught on air after coming back from break screaming "we are all over reacting here and were putting on shit!"

hahahah

WTF is Bloomberg's platform?

I have no idea, and wondered the same.

The only thing I know about him is he anti-gun.. as a matter of fact they had a "bloomberg gun give away" in virginia. This was to raise money because bloomy is filing lawsuits against some gun shops in VA for selling guns that were"eventually used in the commission of crimes."

Which is retarded. That is like suing a car dealership for selling a car that was eventually used to commit vehicular homicide.

Anywho, I don't think he will go very far.
Isn't he pretty much just buying his way in anyway?

He is for strong gun control.

He is for the immigration bill John McCain has negotiated, and that Ron Paul opposes.

In health care, he wants more restrictions. Including a ban on trans fats. He has advocated smoking bans.

He wants to use government to combat poverty.

It's hard to tell his foreign policy, but he does support the department of homeland security.

WTF? Are you serious? I wonder if someone will youtube it?

Bloomberg Stinks

Bloomberg isn't the guy we want on our side. No NY Republican is good. They're all tax and spend, pro-choice and pro-welfare. Did you hear about Bloomberg's new poverty plan. Cash prizes for doing everyday things. If you take your kid to the doctor-$200, attend a PTA meeting-$60, keep a job-$200 a month. Granted it is private donations, but it is definately not the role of government to give out charity money, especially not for taking care of your kid.
It's a shame that NY is the most beauracratic, socialistic city in the Union.

If he does get in it won't be until after the primaries are over so I wouldn't worry about it.

How is this breaking news? Takes like 10 seconds to report. We don't need to know what they think.

This line scares me:

"There would be a fight to see who would be the presidential candidate and who would be the vice presidential candidate,” Bloomberg said during a joint appearance with Schwarzenegger at a University of Southern California political conference. “He would want to arm wrestle for the top spot; I would want to check the Constitution.”
