Blogger Scoops RP Kansas City Appearance

It doesn't surprise me. It's a shame that the guy at the end potentially messed it up for Ron Paul.

When having Ron Paul speak, just let him do it. You need no one else.

I wish I could have made it up there for the event, but I had to work today. It's kind of disappointing to hear that report. I'm a pretty hard core libertarian myself, but you have to realize that screaming at people isn't going to work.

250 people showed? not bad at all for this early in the race! I was worried when eventful said something like "23" people.

I don't think the talk show host fella was as bad as that author claims. Perhaps I'M the radical but I thought he was just a bravado filled cheerleader. He didn't say anything in particular that offended me, and I thought he was kinda humorous. But he also wasn't the point of the evening at all.

Dr. Paul however was delightful, splendid even. It's not about a cult of personality, it's about the message. He says freedom, peace, liberty and the constitution and we cheer. We need that, as Americans, we need to be reminded what we are supposed be. We have forgotten how to be free and peaceful as a nation. Ron Paul is the wake up call.

I had the honor of shaking his hand and having him sign my copy of his book A Foreign Policy of Peace. He is an honest politician spreading the most important message on earth. It's a rare and beautiful thing.

The talk show host fella who amped up the crowd while we waited for the meet and greet wasn't a negative, really....I think that's being a tad picky and missing the point.

“It’s never about him, is it? He’s always well informed but never pompous.”

and what a fantastic quote

I didn't catch his name, it was garbled by the guy introducing him and muffled by the folks in the audience who apparently are fans of his radio show. It's called the Power Hour, I never heard of it before. But he said if he had to turn his radio show into the Ron Paul Hour he would...:p He was just a vocal, fervent supporter of Ron Paul's. Don't we need more of those in broadcast media? It wasn't a shared bill per se either, as the Power Hour host wasn't announced to my knowledge, atleast not through the info I got from the KC Ron Paul meet up group.

Didn't any of those attending this event catch it on video?
If anyone did, pls get it up for all to see. The Ron Paul portion is of interest; could care less for the other guy. Thanks.

If it's the guy I'm thinking of it's Dave Vonkleist. He's one of the hosts of "the powerhour" on the gcnlive.com network. Same network as Alex Jones. Good people.

Someone mentioned the Power Hour; if so, the guy was probably Dave von Kleist. I don't trust he and his wife further than I can spit.

In K.c.

This doesn't appear to be the whole event, BUT just found it:
"Ron Paul comes back for an unscheduled encore and conducts a question and answer session during his appearance at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City on June 15, 2007."
