Blogger says #RandPaul's Anti-Cop Rhetoric played a Role in #NYPD Cop Killing

Okay. I'll bite. So the shooter is seeing people yell "No justice no peace" and Mike Browns step father saying "Burn this mother down" and he gets set off by Rand Paul saying the cigarette tax is too high? Ummmm......okay.

What I was getting at was that it's highly likely that the killer would have seen CNN pushing their divisive propaganda for years. Far more likely then seeing a single quote from a single politician that was not widely or repeatedly covered.

Influenced by CNN? Likely.
Influenced by Rand? Highly unlikely.
Blogger from OP just a troll who doesn't like Rand? 99.99% probability.

Oh. My misread. :o

I assume sarcasm? If anything this would be evidence that he hasn't. This, and his recent anti-torture statements, tell me that while Rand Paul is by no means ideal or completely libertarian, he really is better than the status quo.

But is better than the status quo really what we're going to settle for?

That's a better question.

I think Rand is a lesser of goods, rather than a lesser of evils, when compared to his father. Rand is still looking to improve the status quo on almost every issue he talks about.

Does this satisfy me? No, it doesn't. I can't stand this system of violence at all and I want to get rid of it.

Given a choice between Rand and pretty much any Democrat, I'd vote for Rand. I would have voted for Gary Johnson in 2012 as a protest vote had I been old enough, and I think Rand is better than GJ. So, it wouldn't be throwing away a vote on the lesser of two evils. It would be a chance to accomplish something.

I am still not thrilled about him and I would take better, but I'm willing to give him a shot.
