A crashed Ron Paul Blimp would be really bad for the presidential campaign.
 
If it won't be there, then it won't. It's not anybodies call expect the Blimp Company/Pilot anyway, so there is no reason to get into a fuss about it. An anonymous forum d00d pouting that "it must be there" is ridiculous when you logically consider the cost & risk involved for not only crew & passengers, but for the damned 5 million dollar + airship.

Is it saddening? Yeah. But don't get in a huff about it. What are you disgruntled people going to do? File claims against Liberty Advertising with the BBB or take them into a civil case? Madness. Try not to forget that this is a collective effort to boost up Ron Paul, and unfortunately it was an impossibility to do pure-grassroots, especially given the extremely short nature of how everything about this project was put together/executed.

All the 24 hour days that are being pulled, the overtime for the banner company to pump something out in days rather than a month+, the SEROIUSLY GENEROUS offer from the blimp company to loan on a month-by-month basis....

Seriously... we should be counting our blessings, not getting all pissed off because of some shortcomings by an overworked staff, or the weather.
 
Of course we all want to see the Blimp be effective but we have to play the hand
were dealt and right now it looks like snow and high winds on Sunday for Boston which will make it a no go for a Blimp.

The forecast for Sunday for Boston, NYC, and DC are all rotten so I think a tour of South Carolina might be in order and then double back north.
 
Send the big bitc# to SC anf FL for a week then waltz that big fat a## up the Eastern Seaboard. Seriously think about this people. Screw the tea party. This is about getting media attention and, getting in front of early primary and caucus voters

It will be perfect timing SC and FL then up the East Coast to New Hampshire.

I've said this again and again.

The blimp should not "fly" if the weather makes it unsafe.

However, the blimp should be taken to Boston ONE WAY OR ANOTHER even if the weather is unsafe.

When it arrives in Boston it could be tethered down to the ground. At least allow there to be a rally around it in Boston!

You have been given a plethora of answers as to why this suggestion has no merit and represents an impossibility. Stop suggesting such madness, lest you are a troll, in which case I suppose your fulfilling your duty quite well. Frankly I have to question the motivations of somebody who has 1,700 posts in the span of a month...

That's not going to happen.
 
If the blimp cannot fly over Boston Harbor because of weather concerns on the 16th then it can certainly fly over Orlando and all of the theme parks -- the weather is beautiful here. The theme parks (Disney World, Sea World, and Universal Studios -- to name a few) are full of tourists from sun up to sun down. As you all know, people from all over the US come to Orlando. This could be an awesome introduction of Ron Paul to tourists and Florida residents. If you like the idea, please pass it on as plan "B" for the blimp.
 
If the blimp can't make it to Boston the project should be canceled. I don't see any other opportunity for it to get a MASSIVE burst of publicity from the start.

Do you know of any other projects as MASSIVE as the Tea Party that the blimp could use to get a massive burst of publicity? I sure don't.

You don't have to be in Boston, MA just to celebrate the Boston Tea Party. The Orlando thing doesn't sound so bad to me...
