Alright, I just talked to Trevor and he purchased the domain RonPaulBlimpBlog.com to house the blog in the future. He said that he wasn't interested in running the backend of the site since he has so much else going on, so I will be hosting the blog. I'm only hosting the blog, not any of the other websites.

Trevor has pointed the domain to the server, and it should be coming up over the next 48 hours or so.

For future reference this is how it will work.

1. I will leave the blog up at http://ondecember16th.com/ until the 17th. By then the new address should work everywhere and the rollover will be painless.

2. In the meantime, as it comes up, the new address, http://ronpaulblimpblog.com/, will carry the blog as well.

3. They mirror the exact same information. Any post or comment made on one, will automatically appear on the other.

4. No information will ever be lost during the switch over, and because of the fact that I am keeping both domains up over the weekend, there will be no downtime when the switch happens.

If you have any technical questions or suggestions for the blog, direct them to me. Any questions or suggestions for the blimp or anything not directly related to the blog should be directed to Mckarnin. :)

This message is hidden because Menthol Patch is on your ignore list.

There, much better.

Please tell them they need to fix the letter "n" on the blimp! It is an obvious eyesore.

No problem M. Patch...
Here you go look at this:

Great work man. I look forward to seeing a link to the blog from ronpaulblimp.com

I would have suggested using a sub-directory for the blog like: http://ronpaulblimp.com/blog

The webmaster could give you FTP access to the site or just that directory.

Something to keep in mind for the future to save the bucks on domain registrations.

Thats great and I think it will give a nice layer of security.

In case the main site is slow or down the blog will still be up.

MentholPatch- you might want to try another nicotine patch.

Like Indy Vidual said, look at that picture. Now that alone looks fine, imagien how it would be 1000 feet in the air. The cut won't be noticeable at all...

Thank you Jordan!

Right now the only suggestions would be a link back over to RonPaulBlimp.com and maybe a copy of the chart from RonPaulGraphs.com. Any other enhancements kind of depend on what happens with the main LPA-managed site.

I am not an expert but I can hazard a very reasonable guess. There is a "cut" in the blimp on purpose so that wind doesn't get traped underneath the banner and it flies off.... So if you want the banner that has a complete N to fly off if it gets a bit windy, by all means continue with that fruitless train of thought. I am sure that whoever the sign lands on will vote ron paul, thus 'maximizing our dollars'.

And why in the middle? Probably some very reasonable physics about drag to answer that... This is just my guess.

EDIT: I just saw that you have an entire thread about the N. Ignore this comment, I shouldn't be feeding.
