However, I'm thinking we need to adjust the planning here a bit. I'm thinking since it was literally a no show, with the exception of a few people, we need to focus on just the 19th to get people out there.
I would do something like this:
Get at least 50-100 dedicated people to show up on the morning shows of the 19th. Hopefully, we'll have more so the reporters would be inclined to ask why they are there. If we have a spokeperson ready to go, they should say something like...
"We're donating to Ron Paul today to show our disappointment of how the media has covered his presidential campaign. Ron Paul raised $8million from 100,000 in Q3, third among all GOP candidates and today, we'll raise enough money that there will be no question Ron Paul is a top-tier candidate. If you believe in Ron Paul, join us down here at Noon at FOX News headquarters. Bring everyone you know! Today is a big day! Black THIS Out!"
Then focus your efforts on building a rally at Noon near FOX. That should be like a meeting point/headquarters. Have a sign in area and get everyone who is attending, including e-mail/number. Have a headcount at 12:30PM and at 1:00PM, branch groups off to head to the other media spots.
In this way, the initial presence will be more dense, having everyone meet at one spot, then use the momentum to push people through to other locations.
People who are coordinating things, should identify people who are dedicated and willing to coordinate at other locations. Send them with sign in sheets and a few pens. Tell them what it's about. Finally, have about 10 people willing to call through the list at each location. Anyone who left a number, call them, leave them a message and tell them to call their friends to come out.
I'd say, we might have a hard time getting the momentum building in the middle of the day, so there should be a push to hype let's say for a 6/7:00PM rally at all the locations and at that point, we should have at least a few hundred phone numbers, e-mails, etc. In fact, you could instead of rallying in the day, have everyone that shows up at the noon rally, should become canvassers and send them out throughout NYC, with sign up sheets in hand. Ask everyone they come across if they support Ron Paul. If so, have them sign up and to join us at 6/7 at the most convenient locations to them.
This way, you build momentum for one day, starting early on the morning shows, the mid day momentum could be used to organize a massive canvassing effort, and the end of the day rally can catch people as they are leaving work.
Just my 2 cents on it. I wouldn't want to shift the plan too much, if there is already a lot of coordination going on.
Eh, I wish I had the money, as I would go out there myself.
