Black Friday - How much did you spend?

Hmm. 20 bucks on delivery Asian Food. Nasi goreng, drunken noodles, and thai fried riced. 5 bucks on a gallon of egg nog.

'twas a good day.

Right you are.

Our son said the store he worked yesterday had a very steady flow all day long. He has 22 stores he is responsible for, so I am waiting to hear about the rest.

My wife got back today from shopping for our son, who needed some basics. She said the lady at Kohl's said they had set sales targets yesterday, and all had exceeded the targets by a long shot. Only my wife could end up finding out that kind of stuff. She is the type everyone stops and tells their life story to her.

I was doing a concert at the biggest mall in town. And afterwards I wandered into the local discount / surplus store (think Big Lots) and bought myself 3 very nice button up dress shirts, 2 nice polo shirts, and 2 ties. Price? $35!

$3.49 pedialite. Sick baby needed some electrolytes.
Either that or someone had a hangover ;)

I tell ya what... I had to drink that stuff once. I was mixing a concert in Tulsa in the middle of the summer. Heat index was like freakin 120F. I quit drinking water for a simple 15 minute period. And the next thing I knew I had heat exhaustion.... So they walked me back to our tour bus where they had like a liter of the stuff that I downed. UGH it was nasty but it did the job.

Bought my wife a new samsung washer and dryer at sears. Normally sells
for 16-17 huhdred. Got it for 999. Spent another 150 at Lowes. wife spent around 700.
Cash used for everything.

Wow... when my dad bought my mom an iron for Christmas back in the 70's (they were 20 something) she threw it at him.

Who gets something like that as a Christmas gift? I have to say, your dad was a moron, not entirely sure if throwing the iron at him was the right response, however.

$50 on a used Karaoke machine from a Craigslist seller, so we wouldn't have to pay for a new one.

Lunch at Cracker Barrel. Tank of gas. Cup o coffee. Thatzit.

Hmmm, I thought the 70's was the height of feminism - don't women want to be treated like guys? As a guy living on a small farm, I've asked for chore gloves and a wheelbarrow for Christmas. Is that too practical?

Yes, my dad was an only child and neither his dad nor mom taught him much of anything LOL....

$0

i'm at my cottage and i didn't leave all day. i guess i played some online poker and won $150, but that's about it.

On a side note I know two people that are retail managers, one for GAP Inc. and the other for Tommy Bahama. Their did better than LY. Don't know what that means yet. But to me it just means everybody shopped Friday and consumer spending and shopping will probably wane up until Christmas. Either that are people are f'in oblivious and are just spending like idiots. The latter wouldn't surprise me.
