Bill Maher: "The one guy on the political scene now..." (video added)

I saw it, too. Maher is actually consistent with Dr. Paul. He's had him on and Ron got more applause than Ben Affleck and PJ O'Rourke! Maher likes Ron because he KNOWS Ron means business with drawing back our miliatery empire, and of course he appreciates Ron's perspective on the War on Drugs. Maher is uneasy about ANYONE that is religious.

On a side note: David Frum is one of these pundits that has some pseudo-allegiance to Israel. You can tell in their dialogue that they would opt for dual citizenship and put all of America on Israel's permanent speed dial- perpetually propping-up Israel on the US's dime. He is like any other person that pulls their religion card out when it makes them feel more relevant. He made me very upset when he stated (as if it were fact) that Iran has been waging this war on America "since 1979." That bothers me greatly when they "forget" that it goes back much further- like 1953? These people that prefer to lie about history for present-day chaos are really low.

Giving Ron some love was good, but I shouldn't have watched the rest of that video while trying to eat dinner.

Also, I'm going to shoot up so much heroin when Ron Paul wins the election. At first I didn't really feel like doing that, but the media has finally convinced me that is why I like Ron so much.

He may agree with Dr. Paul on foreign policy, but Maher is big government all the way on domestic policy.

When push comes to shove, he's not with Paul on foreign policy either. He's pro-liberal foreign policy just like the neocons. Michael Scheur's appearance on his show proved that.

Scheur's wording about Israel not being worth a penny rubbed him the wrong way I think.

Bill Maher claiming he understands economics... LOL

The panel claiming they understand economics... LOL

David Frum... LOL

It baffles me how he can talk up Ron Paul so much simply for his foreign policy, while still holding so stubbornly to every other liberal fallacy under the sun...

When Paul gets the nomination atleast the Jon Stewarts and the Bill Mahers wont smear him in front of the youth like they did with Palin and McCain, it's a good trend even if they're not on our side per se. Plus liberals are starting to hate Obama

Maher is a stoner and forgets what he thinks from one day to the next. He will be bashing Paul soon. I have seen it before.

I respect Maher's disagreement. As wrong as he is (believe solution is big government) he's honest about it. Frum on the other hand I lost track of how many lies he told to try and attack Paul.

Frum’s comments are laughable just like him. He’s so sad that his neocon agenda is being rejected by the American people.

Don’t you get it Frum?! We are sick of these wars!

When I hear any politician use the term “middle class”, I just assume it’s pandering and it goes in one ear and out the other. Sanatarium is not inspiring anyone with his useless rhetoric and he never will. What a desperate joke these establishment types are.

Maher can he an asshole at times and I can see how some can be turned off by his brand of humor, but his monologue where he absolutely tore the neocon "think tanks" to pieces for pushing the Iraq war was one of the best things I've ever heard. He pointed out how shockingly wrong idiots like Perle, Wolfowitz, and Kristol were about the invasion and applied his own spin on it and it was perfect. It can be easily found on YouTube. I cant post it now since I'm on my phone

It's troubling that Frum, and other neocons, are still invited to (and therefore their opinions given legitimacy) in the mainstream media. Not only is Frum on CNN sometimes frequently, but also on the Daily Beast. I don't consider these sources of "news" to be very credible in regards to accurate, non-biased reporting, but some still do.
Either way, it's not too worrying because the more these neocons talk, the more they appear delusional to rational thinking people.

Exactly! Why are these evil people still given any forum or any respect after the debacle they led our country into in Iraq? I am infuriated every time I see a guy like Frum or Bill Kristol commenting on some talk show as if they have even a shred of credibility left. These people should be in political and intellectual exile after all the lies they told.

Yet, it doesn’t seem to bother them that their propaganda was a force behind thousands of dead and trillions wasted. Maybe it’s because they have a total sense of entitlement and believe as the intellectual elite of this country, the end justifies the means….and they know what’s best for us.

I believe they are human devils who shouldn’t be accepted in polite company until they repent wholeheartedly.

Yea being an X-Liberal Dem>turned Green Party>turned Libertarian/Republican myself this was one of the major concepts that's challenging to bridge but not completely impossible depending on how critical the person is of corruption in Washington and in system of control or authority. For anyone that hasn't watched the Jim Demint interview with Jon Stewart check it out all three parts, at one point Jon Stewart brings up Ron Paul's reasoning (4:13 in part 3) that relying too much on government for regulation in trying to right wrongs, allows for the possibility of corruption through lobbyists which no one whether you are a D or an R like at all and is the basis for a lot of the problems we have today;

There are a few moments during the interview I could tell just from looking at Jon Stewart's face that he had moments of realization especially when Demint starts to talk about how the people in this country can not depend on the government to come up with some of the solutions we are facing, the government is just not that good regardless of what kind of expectations people may have about them. I could see the light shining on Jon Stewart as he came to the realization that you know what this guy Demint is actually telling the truth about this, and it's hard for a comic that tries to find truth through a sea of lies to ignore the truth that is being presented in front of him.

Thanks for sharing that! It was subtle, but I felt that too. The highlight, not surprisingly, is when he mentions Ron Paul's comments on how corporate lobbyists have a hand in creating the regulations. I felt that there he was just starting to grasp how the system actually works, rather than getting into kind of a shallow "better regulations vs no regulations" discussion that he was pushing. Someone should have pointed out to Jon that every politician in the past 40 years on every point of the political spectrum has promised "better regulations." We get the regulations we do because of the type of system we have.

Why is David Frum invited to this show time and time again?

Why not have Thomas Woods or Judge Napolitano????????
