Bill Kristol attacks Rand Paul for running ‘to the left of the Obama administration’

He's a propagandist and editor of the loss making Weekly Standard. Who the hell would subscribe to that rag? How does it stay in business? Answer: he's funded by defense interests and that's why he agitates for war and has never met an intervention he didn't like.

As long as that defense budget is increasing year on year Kristol's backers are more than happy. That's why he argued against the sequester and would actually support higher taxes and "closing loopholes" to ensure his sacred cow is kept fat.

He would probably support turning the U.S into a military state headed by a General if he thought he could sell it. That way he could divert 25% of GDP to the Pentagon instead of a paltry 3%

Maybe an organized attempt to contact advertisers and ask them to stop funding the weekly standard could help. Start taking the funding away from them and they will hopefully go under.

Kristol bashing Rand right now, saying Obama is too weak, not strong. Says party will nominate a security hawk in 2016, not a "neo-isolationist."

Megyn Kelly confronting him now, talks about crowd at CPAC. Kristol plays McGovern card. Says whimps lost 5 of 6 elections. Kristol wants Rubio, Ryan, or Cotton. Says they're even younger than Rand.

Larry O'Connor says Rand is much stronger than Ron. Kelly presses foreign policy differences. O'Connor says Rand's arguments rooted in constitution. Kristol says Rand's filibuster was not worth attracting more senators to the floor. Says he wishes more Republicans showed his spunk on hawkishness. Rand Paul is for retreat from the world, says it's dangerous and wants to debate him.

Kelly touches Civil Rights Act comments. O'Connor says it's nothing but a Maddow "gotcha" moment and it's irrelevant. Says if McCain had some of those libertarian kids on his side he'd be president now.

Oh boy, I'd love to see a debate between Rand and Billy. Rand would eat his lunch.

Bob Beckel bashing the neocons on the Five again today, I love it. Says Rand Paul is going to win the foreign policy fight.

Someone should tell that asshat that rabid warmongering interventionism is about as far from conservative as it's possible to get. What a dough-head.

Kristol: ''Rand is a...neo-isolationist''....

never heard that one before.

Billy Kristol, ever try and swim in an undertow?....yer drowning dude, here, hold this anchor for me will ya...

I need a Bill Kristol meme generator....

Something about 'Trotskyites' and 'running on the left'...

Meanwhile....

When David Keene ran The American Conservative Union, I enjoyed going to CPAC. Forget it with this Al Cardenas fellow. I've said it a few times, I've been fairly impressed with the NRA since Keene became President. I haven't seen him give in at all on the gun debate. I can count the number of times on one hand I've had a chance to ask Keene a question in person, and he's always been friendly to our cause.

There is factionalism in the establishment court of GOP-sphere people. Guys like Keene can be our allies. Kristol will never be so as far as I am concerned.

What is a neo-isoolationist anyway?

Rand isn't isolationist at all... Not even non-interventonist. Just less fanatically interventonist, at least from what he's actually said. I, of course, HOPE that he's secretly more like Ron Paul than he's letting on, but I expect moderate policies from him, not non-interventionist ones.

I doubt they have any mainstream advertisers. Seems like a mag that would only have ideological advertisers if any at all.

Kristol wants a young buck to mount to victory =p

Rand is a social conservative, but he doesn't talk about these issues ad nauseum like Santorum.
