Bill Gates, the computer nerd-turned-billionaire-turned left-wing activist wants to save humanity.

He wants to dim the sun.

That’s right, the founder of Microsoft apparently thinks that the sun is the Blue Screen of Death in the sky and is funding research at Harvard University into dimming the sun to cool the earth. The solar geoengineering project, called Stratospheric Controlled Perturbation Experiment (SCoPEx), will be flying a test balloon above Sweden next year as part of this research. The plan is to eventually release 2 kg of calcium carbonate dust into the atmosphere in a year or two to study how what impact it may have.

You read that correctly. They want to put chalk dust in the atmosphere. Are you old enough to have ever cleaned blackboard erasers for your teacher? That nasty cloud of chalk dust you inhaled during that process is what they want to put into the atmosphere.

What could possibly go wrong?

Who would have thought that the answer to “man-made climate change” would be more man-made climate change?

That said, environmentalists aren’t entirely on board. “There is no merit in this test except to enable the next step. You can’t test the trigger of a bomb and say ‘This can’t possibly do any harm’,” said Nicklas Hällström, director of the Swedish green think-tank WhatNext?

Of course, Hällström’s biggest issue with this concept is that he thinks that it will create the impression that we can still use fossil fuels.

There are several problems with this whole thing.

We already funded his global vaccine agenda... do you think the U.S. taxpayer will help fund this as well?
Yes, in fact they already have many millennials convinced to not reproduce because having offspring gets in the way of being successful (although many still live in their parents basements), increases their carbon footprint, and having children is a selfish drain of resources the greater good may need, etc.

I truly am curious that if ilk like Gates came up with a contract to have that generation sign that calls for them to be euthanized by the age of retirement, how many would sign on... because you know being retired and no longer contributing to society (as well as a large chuck of your income tax) is “bad for the environment.”

That's not going to stop the Sun from getting bigger.

Side note: I read the title then saw the picture of him with a glass jar with brown stuff in it. I though he was devising a plan for us to eat our own shit.

simpsons did it

predictive programing?
product placement?

Read this crazy shit a couple of days ago- this guy needs instant transporting to another universe!

I wasn't the only one who immediately thought of some of Earth's previous volcanic eruptions and how they led to famine in the after years, right?

There's been several notable eruptions in which Winters often described as "long," "dark," and "cold" took place after the said eruptions. These events, due to ash being in the atmosphere and covering up sunlight, led to horrible yields for crops for months and sometimes years.

I mean, Jesus, people. This guy needs to be put out to the pasture. His motives are quite clear and apparently eugenics runs in his family. The dude is loony and wants over half of the Earth's population gone.

It appears to me that the sun is going to nova. sometime within the next 20 years. In the mean time a volcano in the Caribbean is getting fired up. Which could cause problems for the east coast.

When the sun Novas it will scorch the side of the earth facing it and then there will be an ice age for at least 11 years. The magnetic pole shift will likely complete at the same time and that will cause earth quakes and volcanic eruptions.

Bill Gates just wants to kill off a bunch of people so when the real show gets here there won't be as much competition for resources while he scurries off to his underground hidey hole. The elites of this world all know this is happening but they will not tell the minions until about a week before it happens which will ensure many deaths due to lack of preparing.

Two questions I've asked people who think governments need to impede global warming are:
1. What is the ideal average global temperature?
2. How do you know?

If this debate is going to happen, those seem like obvious questions to address right at square one. And the answers to those questions, even if disputed, should be well-known by anyone involved in the debate. Yet I never see them addressed in literature nor am able to find anyone who has any clue about them. I can't fathom how people can think they have good reason to support efforts to impede global warming at great economic cost to the entire world's population, if they're not even able to say whether or not a warmer planet might actually be more amenable to human flourishing in the long run overall than a planet at current temperatures is.

The answer it the temperature that grows the most food. But after the nova it won't matter.

Got some bad news for Bill on what's going to keep happening to the sun for about the next 4 billion years.

Reality and nature have many ways of punishing everyone else for the hubris of those who arrogantly believe that they are (or can be) the masters of dynamically non-linear systems (such as climates or economies). One of those many ways is called the Law of Unintended Consequences. (Unfortunately, those who trigger the operation of that Law are rarely the ones who suffer its Consequences ...)
