in his iowa caucus speech: "I believe foundationally that the essential issue in this race is freedom"

What happened at the 14 second mark? It sounds like a cut or edit that should be fixed. Otherwise, some people are going to perceive it as twisting his words.

Maybe you mean the 20 second mark? I'm using the audio from Freedom Watch last night.

"One of the criticisms I make is to what I refer to as more of a libertarianish right. This whole idea of personal autonomy, well I don’t think most conservatives hold that point of view. Some do. They have this idea that people should be left alone, be able to do whatever they want to do, government should keep our taxes down and keep our regulations low, that we shouldn’t get involved in the bedroom, we shouldn’t get involved in cultural issues. You know, people should do whatever they want. Well, that is not how traditional conservatives view the world and I think most conservatives understand that individuals can’t go it alone. That there is no such society that I am aware of, where we’ve had radical individualism and that it succeeds as a culture." -Rick Santorum

Rick Santorum didn't say this the day after the Iowa Caucus. It is from an NPR radio broadcast on August 4th, 2005.

However, it still shows that he is a big government republican and doesn't believe in the right to liberty or the pursuit of happiness.

Not really worth going viral by itself, but it would be very good as part of a compilation, in my opinion.

Poor Iowa, they know not who they vote for. When Santorum is exposed you're going to see a lot of denial from Iowa voters. Denying they voted for him that is.

I think this statement (and maybe a few other choice ones) would work great in the same kinetic typography style of the Imagine ad.

This guy really is the antithesis of liberty.
