Friends,

As you may have heard or read in the past couple of days, much is happening with our campaign – and it is very much OUR campaign.

You have heard me say many times that I am absolutely committed to our shared goal of taking the message of liberty, economic freedom and smaller government to the voters of America. Never has it been more clear that millions of our fellow Americans are looking for real leadership – the kind of principled leadership that will get government out of our lives and free us all from the burdens of unimaginable debt.

Next Wednesday, December 28, at 10:00 a.m. MST, I will be holding a news conference at the State Capitol in Santa Fe, New Mexico. At that news conference, I will be making an extremely significant announcement regarding the direction of our campaign – a direction that will allow us to insure that our message is heard and that America will have a real choice in the presidential election.

I would be both pleased and proud to have you join me next Wednesday for this announcement. If you can make your way to Santa Fe, that would be great. If not, my news conference will be streamed live on both our website, Show your support by going to: Gary Johnson 2012.com.

Whether in person or via the Internet, I hope you can be with us. Again, it is 10:00 a.m. MST at the State Capitol in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

If you can join us in Santa Fe, we have arranged for discounted accommodations at the Courtyard Marriott, 3347 Cerrillos Rd., Santa Fe, New Mexico 87507.

Also, following the news conference at the Capitol, you are invited to join us from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for an informal gathering at the Eldorado Hotel, 309 West San Francisco, Santa Fe, New Mexico 87501.

There are big things happening in the Johnson campaign, and your continued support is very important to me. I hope you can join us, either in person or “virtually”, next Wednesday.

Thank you!
Gary

Well Gary, if its not you endorsing Paul, no one is really going to care.

He's dropping out of the GOP primaries and running for the Libertarian nomination.

The LP, CP, et al. need to fall on their collective swords and get behind Ron for this election cycle. Their running only syphons votes away from Paul.

Gary for god sake endorse Ron Paul, run LP if he doesn't win!!!!

This is just not right.

At his website on the main page is says support Gary Johnson and right beneath that is says support Ron Paul...
Kinda interesting. Maybe even though he is running as a libertarian he is endorsing Ron Paul for the republicans?

I'm pretty sure Johnson will endorse Paul if he makes it through. But there's absolutely nothing wrong with running for the LP as a backup.

I wonder if Ron Paul would support Gary Johnson if Ron Paul doesn't win the GOP nomination. I wouldn't mind seeing either of them running third party, as long as one supports the other. And if RP is the GOP nominee then I don't see Gary Johnson competing against him. They are both Libertarians who made the calculation that it is best to run as a Republican but legislate or govern as a Libertarian. I think both of them would see that it is better for the cause of liberty to not compete against each other. We shall see...

This is weird. Didn't Gary just drop out of the GOP race and decide to run for LP nomination?

Perhaps that is the plan.

I like this actually.

GJ runs as the LP nominee with the banner that he will drop out if RP is the Republican nominee - therefore the Republicans can breathe a sigh of relief that libertarians won't run a third party candidate to syphon votes *IF* they nominate Ron Paul.

Really, it's a win/win imo.

Now if we can get the Constitution party to do the same...

Not surprised. There is so much hate in the Republican Party I'm embarrassed to be registered as one. I just have to hang on for a little over a month now and I can proudly return to my no party affiliation status.

I think that even if Gary runs LP, that if Ron Paul stays on top his supporters will still vote for Ron Paul....... I mean think about it, If Ron wins, Johnson would not be a bad choice for VP...

If the GOP does not nominate Ron Paul, Gary Johnson and Buddy Roemer will hand the election to Obama.

MARK MY WORDS.

Share this with your local GOP, and all GOP groups. Emails, whatever it takes. Just tell the truth on the matter.
