Biden: Cruz, Paul ‘control’ the GOP

Vice President Joseph R. Biden is urging Democrats to donate money for the 2014 election because, he said, Republican Sens. Rand Paul of Kentucky and Ted Cruz of Texas “control” the GOP.

At a fundraiser late Friday night in San Francisco, Mr. Biden said there is no one in the Republican Party in Congress with whom the administration can negotiate anymore.

“There’s no one with whom to deal with and there’s no one in charge anymore,” Mr. Biden said, at one point pounding the podium with his fist.

Referring to Mr. Paul and Mr. Cruz, both first-term senators, the vice president said he’s never before seen lawmakers with their conservative views.

“They are the ones that control the Republican party right now, literally,” Mr. Biden said. “I’ve never seen a time in all the years I was in the Senate that two freshmen have so much impact on the entirety of the Republican party.”

I'd feel better if the traitors were forbidden access to DC instead of permitting them to influence policy once they're outed...

Nah, just like republican scream about O and Pelosi at their rallies and fundraisers.

That poll which shows Senator Paul beating him in a presidential Randslide appears to have scared him.

obama was a freshmen.i suppose hes a skeerd.

rand is going to kick some major ass going forward. hes already called out obama multiple times to the point that the crook, err um prez has made mention of it. biden is now running interference.

Now here's hoping he has the backing. Not saying that literally everyone has to be forced to unite behind him- God knows we got enough of that with Romney's coronation- but that enough people within the GOP are receptive to his message, whether through his use of social media or speaking to state Republican parties.

I wish they do control the GOP - we might get some movement in the correct direction.

You know what, the Democrats often accuse Rand of stoking paranoid fears in his fundraising pitches. But that's exactly what Biden is doing right now!

To suggest that a couple of Tea Party guys control Senate GOP, that's plainly absurd.

"Have you ever seen a time when two freshman senators are able to cower the bulk of the Republican Party in the Senate? That is not hyperbole... I called 17 senators out, nine of whom were Republicans… But almost to a person, they said, ‘I don’t want to take on Ted Cruz. I don’t want to take on Rand Paul. They’ll be in my district.’ "
