Biden Erases Women On His First Day In Office, Angers LGB Groups and Women’s Rights Advocates

"all the best women will be men.”

On his first day in office, President Joe Biden has angered LGB groups and women’s rights advocates by signing an executive order prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.

The policy, which will allow biological males to compete in women’s sports if they identify as female, directs all federal agencies to implement the Supreme Court’s 2020 decision in Bostock v. Clayton County, Georgia, prohibiting employment discrimination against LGBTQ people.

According to the order, the Supreme Court held that the prohibition of discrimination “because of… sex” in Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 covers discrimination on the basis of gender identity and sexual orientation.

As such, the order, which was signed by Biden on Wednesday states: “Children should be able to learn without worrying about whether they will be denied access to the restroom, the locker room, or school sports.

“Adults should be able to earn a living and pursue a vocation knowing that they will not be fired, demoted, or mistreated because of whom they go home to or because how they dress does not conform to sex-based stereotypes.”

The policy has triggered a backlash online, with many warning that it will bring about an end to women’s sports. Within hours of releasing the order, the hashtag #BidenErasedWomen began trending across Twitter.

“On day 1, Biden unilaterally eviscerates women’s sports,” Wall Street Journal report Abigail Shrier tweeted. “Any educational institution that receives federal funding must admit biological-male athletes to women’s teams, women’s scholarships, etc.

“A new glass ceiling was just placed over girls,” she added.

“Unilaterally imposing trans ideology on a nation with no thought for women’s rights is not how you create unity,” feminist activist Dr Clare Jones tweeted.

“We are appalled by @POTUS’ executive order erasing the sex-based rights of women and girls,” the LGB Alliance wrote on Twitter. “It deals a severe blow to women and girls in sport, prisons, rape shelters, hospitals etc and bans lesbians and gays from having our own spaces. We will help our US friends to oppose it.”

The group went on to say: “While we welcome the anti-discrimination protections for LGBT people, the Exec Order signed yesterday is egregiously broad and effectively eliminates ‘sex’ as a protected class. #BidenErasedWomen with this far-reaching order, which will decimate women’s sports, safety and privacy.”

Colorado Congressman Ken Buck tweeted: “The country is struggling with a pandemic and President Biden is focusing on helping biological men compete in women’s sports.”

“Sad day for women’s sports,” said Erielle Davidson, senior policy analyst at JINSA. “Women must compete against biological males at the risk of injury and loss of title, thanks to a new Biden executive order.

“Don’t ever tell me this is ‘pro-woman.’ It’s not. It’s destructive and malicious.”

Welcome to Biden’s America, where, as Jeremy Boreing put it, “in the future, all the best women will be men.”

If the executive order really will have the effect Shrier predicts (which I doubt), then "eviscerates" is not really the right word. It just would remove the artificial propping up of women's sports that Title IX gives them. Women will now potentially have to compete for athletic scholarships on the basis of their athletic abilities and the abilities of their teams to draw revenue to their schools, instead of getting them just by being good at their sports in comparison to other women.

I'm not sure that's a bad thing.

The only glass ceiling this would place over them is the glass ceiling of their own lower athletic abilities in comparison to men. That glass ceiling has always been there. It just didn't stop them from getting athletic scholarships that would otherwise have gone to men with higher athletic abilities than them on account of Title IX.

A global laughingstock, the US

Well, let's just let all the chicks with dicks compete in handicapped games. After all it's closer to the point.

I don't see it that way. We should be free to set up sports that discriminate by sex or handicap (and schools that don't depend on federal funding still will be able to do that). But we shouldn't have government mandates that artificially promote those things by requiring schools to divert money away from revenue-making mens athletics to prop them up.

Undermining Title IX may not be the intended effect of this EO (and again, I'm skeptical that it will even do that). But if it does have that unintended consequence, as the OP predicts, then conservatives should welcome that.

I also suspect that if this action does result in that consequence, it will serve to drive increased public opposition to the transgender movement, which I would also welcome.

This is the only reason I care about this issue at all, not what happens to a bunch of lesbian soccer girls who now can't get scholarships to Wellesly to become Marxists because they are not as strong as a trans queeer man.

Real women that get beat by these pretenders are in a no win situation if they complain they are will be labeled trans-phobic.
Really pathetic, expect a backlash.

How is this going to work for Olympic competitions ?

Is chopping your junk off worth a gold medal ?

Well, I think I'm voting Democrat from here on out. Tired of playing chess. Let's get down to the shooting.

Funny you mention that. I was just wondering if this controversy has come up in the world of serious chess tournaments yet. A guy could be near the bottom of the top 1,000 men in the world and decide to call himself a woman and become the world's champion in women's chess.

If you had seen the very popular mini-series "The Queen's Gambit", you would know that Bobby Fischer was female.

I believe that is no longer necessary. All you have to do is "identify" as female.

It stands to reason that if everyone were a Democrat, the Democrats would be fighting amongst themselves.

Actually, you touch on an interesting point. Total submission and control was established among the Democrat politicians before it was released upon the rest of the nation. For some time now, there has been practically no dissent in the Democrat Party. They vote as a block. AOC brought a little bit of far left complaining, but look how much Pelosi has tamed her.

They are trying to bring this absolute political control and conformity to the entire nation. Very similar to Soviet Russia or modern China (their model nation).
