I have a few degrees in science and as a scientist, I am so sick of hearing “Follow the Science” with the whole COVID thing yet we are considered a bigot when we “follow the science” on issues like the human species does in fact only have two sexes and the plumbing you are born with is determined by the genes found on the X and Y chromosomes or that we suppress women’s health by being affirmative that life does start at conception.

Scientific evidence shows that the first evidence of life came about in the Archaean Era in the form of primitive prokaryotic cyanobacteria that was far more primitive than any human zygote created after karyogamy.

I always bring up the argument w/colleagues that defend abortion with what if NASA found evidence of life on another planet that was similar to the biology of a zygote. This contradiction of the science of when an individual life begins is one big contention I have with my field. We’ll argue all day long about things like speciation yet it is deemed politically incorrect to discuss when human life begins.

If I had the money, talking lots of money, I’d stage a whole NASA discovery with the media that finds life on another planet and then describe that “discovered life” synonymous to the biology of a human zygote. Then watch the scientific community defend this new life, and even start bringing in the climate change arguments and how me being on planet earth I am effecting the life on this distant planet because my carbon footprint is emitting damaging EM waves out into space, or some garbage argument like that.
And then I crash their party w/ this life you are defending is not real, I was just describing human life upon conception.

The United States Senate voted Wednesday to confirm President Joe Biden’s nominee, Rachel Levine, to serve as assistant secretary of health at the Department of Health and Human Services.

With a vote of 52-48, Levine, who previously served as Pennsylvania’s secretary of health, became the first transgender federal official to receive confirmation by the chamber.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) insisted in a statement that Levine’s confirmation “represents another important milestone for the American LGBTQ community.”

“As transgender Americans suffer higher rates of abuse, homelessness and depression than almost every other group, it’s important to have national figures like Dr. Levine who by virtue of being in the public spotlight will help break down barriers of ignorance and fear,” Schumer said.

Upon announcing the nomination in January, Biden said Levine “will bring the steady leadership and essential expertise we need to get people through this pandemic — no matter their zip code, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability — and meet the public health needs of our country in this critical moment and beyond.”

Levine, who has faced extreme opposition from Senate Republicans, was confronted by Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) during the confirmation hearings and pressed on the danger to children of “transgender” therapies.

Critics also slammed Levine for touting and publicizing a January 2020 study that declared puberty-blocking drugs to be beneficial for young children and recommended “accelerating” cross-sex hormones for homeless teens who are suffering from gender dysphoria and estranged from their parents.

If it appears that way, it's because the Left has forced normal, rational people to take a harder stance on it.

The Left has created insane (literally insane) edicts where you must comply with their social doctrines with exacting precision, or your career, your identity, your livelihood, will be destroyed.

And it has nothing to do with empathy, equality, or love for your fellow man.

It's about control.

And it has gotten WAY out of hand.

They have pushed social issues such as this into the realm of ideology/politics.

They have weaponized it, and destroyed lives with it, to promote their political agenda.

To the point where parents are no longer even allowed to determine how they raise their own children.

At some point a line has to be drawn.

Didn't you get the memo: in 2021, individual rights and equality are racist oppression and white supremacy?

This forum didn't change.

The world changed around us, and openly declared war on us.

I'm doing my little part wherever I can to defend the right and the republic...which is at this point a hopeless cause more than likely.

But I'll continue on, and if that's perceived as a "rabid group of racist, homophobic, transphobic, & generally bigoted" opinions, so be...my level of fatigue for all of that nonsense has gone off the scale, and I do not care any more.

Trans queeers have made it clear that they want criminal sanctions placed against people that refuse to go along with their insanity.

Much of (what's left of) the left disagrees with you and would denounce you as an agent of oppression for saying such things (especially that bit about how "rights are for individuals").

According to the Woke/identitarian left (which has pretty much taken over the left[SUP][1][/SUP]), there are no such things as individual rights. There are only group privileges that are to be granted and exercised on the basis of "intersectionality" (race, gender, sexual preference, ethnicity, history, et cetera ad nauseam) in order to forcibly impose what they call "equity" (which is not "equality," as they themselves will point out). Your accusation of bigotry fits the Woke left perfectly. They refuse to see or judge anything except in terms of race, gender, etc.

According to them, "liberty," "individual rights," "sound money," etc. are all things that only privileged and vicious oppressors can support, because they prevent the achievement of "equity."
