Thank you for putting this up. If you are going to be a delegate in bexar county please email me so we can get a list together of who to vote for!

I want to get into a group, i don't have to be the delegate, but i want to at least send one to tampa. How do i get involved.

I am registered to vote in Bexar county and want to vote for Ron Paul delegates. I am new to the process. I can probably bring a few other pro-Ron Paul people to the local conventions.

Make sure you go to your county or SD convention prepared. Read the rules, know what to expect, go to delegate training if you can.

delegate training

Bexargop dot org is holding another delegate training on the 11th of april. I will post what I did on our FB group

"What is my part?"
We all need to work together to help get as many delegates into the party.
The first step to take is to find out your precinct, then your senate district. You can go to http://gis1.tlc.state.tx.us/ and look at the top right. There is a menu with 'District - Precinct - City', click on precinct. Then towards the top left there is a 'find'' where you can enter your address. Enter your info and the map will zoom in to your location and allow for you to see your precinct (color coordinated). Now, click district and go to the top left where it says 'select plans' - the drop down menu will have a 'base plan' click on it. A pop up menu will ask which plan, choose plans172. The map will load and again, color code your area and give you your senate district number. You will need this info to know where to go on the 14th of April. Check bexargop.org for location under the calendar link.
Also, you will need to take an oath to be part of the Republican party since this process is happening BEFORE the primary on the 29th of May

Precinct convention
Bexar county has opted to have a precinct convention that will be held at either Judson ISD performing arts center, or Highland Forest Elementary School. Each precinct will be able to elect delegates to move on to the senate district convention. In fact, even if you are the only one to show up, you can hold your own precinct convention! (Information on how to The best thing about this is the fact that you get the voting power proportionate to your precinct's voting record. It is pretty simple, for every 25 votes that were cast for Gov Rick Perry in 2010, you are allowed 1 delegate. If you go to election.bexar.org , you look to the left to click on election results and then 2010, then election totals report. You can use ctrl+F to find 'Perry' or just scroll until you see his name. The precinct will be listed on the left, and votes cast for him will be in the first row. Take that number and divide it by 25, which will give you the number of delegates you are allowed (bonus: you get to round up if you have more than half a delegate). Example: Precinct 4161 had 117 votes for Rick Perry in 2010. 117/25 = 4.68, so i get to round up for a total of 5 delegates! BUT precinct 4157 had 81 votes for Perry. So 81/25 = 3.24, which get rounded down for 3 delegates to that precinct.
Now lets say you are the only one to show up from your precinct, you (at the senate district level) get to nominate yourself as delegate and move on. BUT you get the voting power of your precinct. Example: Let's say you lived in the previously mentioned precinct 4157 which should get 3 delegates, but you are the only body there. You now get 3 votes at the senate district level whenever a vote is cast!

MORE WILL BE POSTED WHEN CLARITY AROUND THE SENATE DISTRICT CONVENTIONS IS OBTAINED
