Bevin Backed TARP and Federal Reserve buying commercial paper issued by banks.

As I recall, Bevin's comments on the Iran negotiations were also pretty hawkish. So is Bevin a political opportunist? Quite possibly. But political opportunists are the ones who tell you that you are winning. We'll never get a majority if we expect to get only the absolutely sincere and dedicated people on board.

But then the question also arises. If you accept political opportunists, what's so bad about Mitch McConnell? I've never been very enthusiastic about the Bevin campaign. McConnell is in a powerful position and has a good working relationship with Rand Paul which has allowed Rand Paul to do his thing. And he has even come around to our side on a few issues.

I think our resources are better devoted to a campaigns that have a better prospect of winning and are also less suspect than Bevin's, and I don't relish the prospect of John Cornyn as Majority Leader.

Second the motion.

Matt Bevin's bailout explanation called 'very odd' by securities lawyer:

Broke the link but the story kind of left this part out. If he's willing to sign off an not interject on a piece of prospectus to clients to get their money, why would he not lie to supporters and sign off on whatever it took to get their vote?

Seems Bevin's Lawyer thinks his splaining is a lie:

“As a general matter if you put your signature on anything you would be at least acknowledging you don’t have a major issue with the content," Wade R. Bridge, the attorney listed on Bevin's 2008 filing, told Breitbart News.
