Speaking of which, I hope everyone's Texican Juneteenth Day celebrations went splendidly!

Interestingly, the area where I was raised, the Hill Country of Texas, was staunchly anti-slavery before and during the Civil War, and hence for that purpose joined the Northern Union. The reason being is because the German settlers of that region had no tradition of slavery, and found it repugnant.
