I can't disagree more with the whole "they want to keep us divided" idea.

Do they really fear what we would do if we were "united"? How would that be any different, from a policy standpoint, than what we have today?

They don't truly want to divide us (which would be great). To the extent that any of them actually do want to divide us, great.

I think we're misapplying the concept of unity. Unity is strength but only unity with those who affirm the natural rights of man from his Creator, and the limitation of government power. Obviously, we can't unite with Marxists and others who only seek to infiltrate and implode a free nation from within. But every-man-for-himself will lead to the downfall of this country which was once a bastion of peace and prosperity through freedom, a shining city set on the hill, putting the lie to the Old World myth that man must be enslaved to "elites" for their own good, and any other order leads to even worse outcomes than subjugation and slavery. If we are to faithfully execute the inheritance that we received from the Founding Fathers, despite the bungling of our parents and grand-parents, then trashing unity is not the way forward. The way forward is to affirm unity with all who affirm their God-given natural rights ,and affirm that government is by nature a servant whose powers derive from the governed and are, therefore, strictly limited by them.
