That pink bit is a photo op for Breast Cancer Awareness. There are no blue bits going down hole for Prostate Cancer Awareness, I can assure you. This is probably a pic taken on a Chevron pad, if I had to guess.

Well, you guys can continue on with your Mission:Impossible fantasies but back in the real world, forgiveness starts with one guy admitting that he was wrong. They got in a fight, he later realized he was being an ass (probably after sobering up), and he wants to buy the guy a beer and say sorry. Seems pretty straightforward to me. Not everyone are serpents...

I 100% respect this perspective, Clayton... and you may well be right. I just don't trust people to be forthright in this day and age. I'd like to believe I'm wrong about that, but I'm just not willing to take that chance. I can forgive someone in my heart - and I have/do, even people who've done me gravely wrong (e.g., my ex-wife ;) ), but that doesn't mean that I need to expose myself to someone who has a reason to attack me, or who seeks to even a score.

I appreciate your perspective though, sir.

I'm from the area this was posted (found it on a local forum) and I suspect that what happened is the guy who wrote this was sloshed, going down a back-alley, got into words with someone over something totally stupid, beat him up, stumbled home, then woke up and realized that he beat up an innocent guy for no good reason, and he wants to make it up to him. This particular district is a sidewalk speak-easy type of area, so there's a lot of that kind of thing. That's the unwritten context I'm basing my interpretation on. Obviously, as you note, people should be careful and never more than in this day-and-age, but it does warm my heart to see somebody actually sticking their neck out to do the right thing for once, instead of just fleeing the car-wreck and leaving it up to the rest of us to pick up the pieces. Anyway, let's hope it all turned out with a good ending...

...a few deceptive posters on phone poles are hardly M:I stuff by modern standards, and people do set traps for other people. So, harboring such unsavory suspicions really can keep you out of trouble. You might miss a free beer and a pleasant conversation instead, yes. But which cigar is just a cigar? How can you be sure?

Not everyone are serpents.

Very true. But it won't be until heaven that we'll be able to say, everyone are not serpents.

Meanwhile, back on topic...
