I fished there sometimes in the first lake as you go in on the backside . I do not take muh crossbow , I take a shotgun . In Maine it is illegal to drive around with your shotgun loaded and they will write a ticket for it . Further down the highway from Mascatatuck is Crosley . I have hunted quail and Pheasant there . In the same county , the Mascatatuck River runs through there , at the end of that county is the old Mascatatuck Mental Hospital . The Army has the old Hospital now ( Urban training center , so they say ). Purdue University owns the land out front , behind it all , on the river I own a couple acres .

What? Why? Do Mainers hate freedom, uncle oyarde? I would say if they don't have a similar rule about rifles that's serious and cruel discrimination.

That's a good one since crossbows don't use arrows, they fire bolts. :D

edit: OK, I decided to check to make sure - turns out that anything over 20 inches is considered an arrow, under 20 inches is considered a bolt. Most modern crossbows do indeed shoot arrows. :P http://www.outdoorlife.com/blogs/master-class/2013/06/bolts-or-arrows-which-correct-crossbows

Mine are bolts , but my recurve bow arrows are arrows . My recurve is in the bedroom and there is an arrow knocked on the string .

I dunno , but it probably applies to rifles . The game wardens drive around in grouse hunting season hoping to catch someone stepping out with a loaded shotgun . Then those assholes expect you to have a license and not be drinking beer.

If that otter on the right had earplugs and a drink, it would look like me and Mr Animal talking. Well, me talking and Mr Animal not listening.:D
