They are the nine alignments in Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. At least from 1974 through the mid-90s.
It's a general overview of how your character is supposed to act, and is an intersection of your attitude toward order (lawful/neutral/chaotic) and your attitude toward other beings (good/neutral/evil).
Things may have changed... they seriously messed with the rules several times, and I stopped paying attention. It was a good way for a teenage guy with nothing to do on weekends who had already been caught with weed to keep his nose clean, but at some point you grow up and it becomes a giant waste of time.
