Best DVD please?

When you say 'the Ron Paul DVD' what DVD are you referring to? There are a lot! Is it the ones that opens with the black and white 'Rebels' video and has a video playing 'Quit Dreaming' on the menu screen?

Ronpauldvd.com's dvd isn't good enough for me too. Needs to be edited to one short convincing video. People's attention span is crazy short. I think I know what video I want to put on DVD. But where can I pay to get copies made? ...the stuff is obviously copyrighted... I'm not going to make copies myself because that would take forever.... help.

DVD Explanation and Purpose

I think you need to understand that the disc available at www.RonPaulDVD.com wasn't meant to "convince" people. It has one sole purpose, and that is to get the media coverage, that is widely available on the Internet, into the hands of those who do NOT have access to the Internet to research his positions, or do have the Internet but don't know where to look. That is the only purpose. The clips were intentionaly organized (mostly) in chronological order, not in order of impact.

Also, with the exception of "A Fox, A Wolf, and a Whole Lot of Bull", the disc was intentionally kept clean of fan-created video compilations, in order to present to the viewer a general view of Ron Paul. It serves almost as a recap of events, speeches and debates, that most people (including myself) probably missed watching when they actually happened.

There have been a lot of suggestions submitted, and a lot of people mentioning that they like it just the way it is. So, it's just proof that you can't please everyone, and trying to do so is a sure road to failure.

I guess my definition of "criticism" is a little different than yours. ;-) I know it's not perfect. Some absolutely love it. Others thought it was "boring". There's no simple solution that works for every situation and audience. But no worries. I'm not offended. :-)

That is a great video - my only concern is that towards the end it reinforces the "Ron Paul can't win" myth (for example it talked about meetings with 15-20 supporters, where I have attended recent events with 1000s).

I can't imagine ANY more important project than for someone to put together a 15-20 minute similar video, with decent quality, for distribution. No one sells RP better than RP, and listening to his well thought out, principled stances (as opposed to sound bites), nearly always gets others 50% of the way there. The other 25% is resolving concerns, and the last 25% is believing he CAN/WILL win - which is why we need to work so hard to demonstrate this.

PLEASE, if anyone has the skills to produce such a video, you can make a HUGE impact on RP getting elected. I will personally contribute to manufacturing costs and I am confident many others will too.

i have created a 4 set of dvds as above. dvds 1-3 are not conspiratorial, don't contain ron paul, and some of that stuff (if not all) should be required watching!

i made my disc 4 (ron paul) last night. it is full but it's broken up in parts to watch at a time and i think it will do a good job of keeping interest. i have a lot of what i thought were more powerful debate moments. anyone following kucinich who is anti-war that sees paul on this dvd will have to concede that they have never seen anyone argue as powerfully as paul.

i'd like to mail them out (and get some reviews) - please PM me your address if you'd like a copy of this set; i'd really appreciate $7 via paypal for the media/materials/shipping as well.

if you want only 1 dvd let me know that too. the documentaries are all available online - i know a lot of people won't sit to watch them at the computer though. and some of them are very powerful... the power of nightmares is a required view by all!
 
I agree we need a professional quality DVD of the best Ron Paul clips we have. I would love to give them to people so they know just exactly who he is and what he stands for. This is one of the MOST important things we could do right now. I really wish HQ would put out an official DVD. Where are they on this?

I wish we could get together on this and lay everything all out what we want the DVD to be and get it out to the voters. Ron Paul sells himself better than anybody.

I'm totally in agreement with you on how crucial and vital this is to the campaign! We need to come together on this and get it done. I'm surprised this isn't a bigger issue on these forums.

it's dl'd off of youtube and burned. it is not the raw footage on any of the movies. certainly good enough to relay the ideas however!

I really like the DVD on Veoh that you linked to, but think it could use a couple more things. I think a few more clips on other issues like health care and other big issues would be a good addtion. I also think including his PEC video that the Ron Paul DVD starts off with is a good idea. It is a synopsis of why he's running, and is the only clip that has him speaking directly to the viewer and asking for their support rather than answering an interviewer.

Wow, this really is a great video. Not only is the quality great (but does it look as good once transferred to DVD and projected on an average sized TV?), but the mix of video's and issues is great too.

I'm going to email the guy and see if I can't get a copy of the file. Does anyone have a link to a site I can download it from?

Regarding the "He Can Win" please refer to a really great website ... paulforronpaul.com and click on his link titled "He Can Win" as it is a VERY encouraging article on this subject. It would be great if this paul guy would allow you to put this information on a video so it can get around to other RP meetup groups. It's worth checking out. :)
