WOW!! This is another case where I was wrong about who wrote it. I thought this was originally written by Jimi Hendrix! I had no idea... I've been hearing a lot about Bob Dylan lately. I think it's time I investigated this artist. I'll probably recognize a lot of his stuff.

Bob Dylan actually said that Jimi Hendrix' version of that particular song (All Along the Watchtower) is better than his original..

But ya, Bob Dylan is fucking amazing, I recommend going through the first decade of his catalog from his first album.... also make sure you listen to the 1966 performance at Royal Albert Hall, there is a lot of historical significance there. He was a folk song artist playing a folk song crowd when suddenly he comes on for his first time with his rock entourage!! Needless to say the crowd became hysterical, some were excited and many were VERY UPSET!!

""You're No Good" is a song written by Clint Ballard, Jr. which first charted for Betty Everett in 1963 and in 1975 was a #1 hit for Linda Ronstadt.

The original version of "You're No Good" would appear to be that cut by Dee Dee Warwick for Jubilee Records in 1963 with production by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. However the song would first become a hit in November 1963 as recorded by Betty Everett..."

One of the best bands ever was notorious for their awesome covers that they would typically include on every album so here are a few of the standouts in my mind:

This band also did a recorded version of this cover on their album "America's Least Wanted" but I like the live acoustic version better.
