Bernie's Origin Story Illustrates How He Became Who He Is

I'll grant that Bernie has identified some symptoms well enough, though he has demonstrated no capacity to actually grasp what is causing them. And his prescriptions are entirely disdainful.

Bernie is like an economic doctor that thinks using leeches is good medicine. Bloodletting for the win!

Using leeches is good medicine. They're often used in microsurgeries because their saliva has peptides and proteins that work to prevent blood clots. It helps incisions heal quicker and cleaner.

But hell, don't let facts get in the way of a good metaphor.

I really don't have anything bad to say about Sanders. I don't agree with him on many major issues of course. But I believe he really means well. He wants to make people's lives better. We actually identify some of the same problems, just different solutions. I don't like to see the guy personally attacked.

The road to hell is paved with people who mean well, and they often take a good number of others with them while intending ot make their lives better.

Oh Bernie's socialism would work if he could implement it. The country would get better. For a while anyway. Then there would be no more money to steal and give away.

Wasn't Bernie one of he cosponsors for audit the fed?

I don't see how that would be compatible with wanting tie interest rates to unemployment.

he switched the bill at the last minute and watered it down

Yes, and I am certain that the leaches will suck the evil spirits right out of ya. Probably the metaphor he was referring to.

As for Sanders, where he came from doesn't mean anything to me. I didn't come from much, still don't have much. Although if I had been soaking the people for 6 figure salaries in Washington for 30 years I would have a lot more, but still. It's what he is that bothers me much more than where he is coming from.

What I like are leftists who research a certain thing and find out the data doesn't match their ideological presumptions. Case in point, James Tooley and Pauline Dixon finding out that the world's poor are in fact being educated by low cost private schools and educating the kids much better than their government school counterparts.

Also how Deirdre McCloskey wanted to refute the West getting rich from capitalism, but couldn't deny the facts upon further research.
